Why does it take so long to discover Confidence….
As I was trying to achieve perfectly aligned pig-tails…not too high, not too low, not too perky, but just right pig-tails, I was wondering why I wouldn’t do this when I was 16, but I do now that I am 21. Why is it that when you’re in your twenties that you begin to realize at how short life is and that not doing what you want sounds like a pretty silly idea? Yes, pig-tails are a step towards a 16 going on 22 direction, but after years of just feeling intimidated, the feeling of being able to do what you want is quite liberating. The pig-tails are not the moral of the story, I promise : P
I was just wondering about confidence and self-esteem. How come it takes us so long to realize how awesome we really are? All those years wasted feeling totally self-conscious and wanting to be in another body, one that is more “perfect”.

Saint Valentine’s Day, although I do not love it nor hate it, I think that it is one day when you’re totally expected to be overtly cheesy. I do not like the idea of expecting grand romantic gestures from your sweetheart because that is what the rest of the world is doing. However, I do think that Valentine’s Day is awesome, as it presents an opportunity for couples to spend that extra time together and do something that is more “special”.
Romance…sure! But I still prefer the idea of fun over the idea of total lovey-dovey, overly-cheesy romance...

It is a perfect time for a little time-out, as I have a million assignments and exams to write in the following 2 weeks. Today’s post is all about lazy days and desserts, which, in my life, are hand-in-hand. The other night Andrew and I went to one of our favorite dessert places. We had our custom cookies, cappuccinos/chai lattes and played around with the camera. I am still learning how to use it: P

Today was spent in the library killing my head with French, honestly all that I can say is do not start a language in a university. It really does take too much time from the rest of the work. Anyways, moving on.... following my grueling study session and an exam, it was all about Halloween costume hunt! And yep, I found myself a costume! So excited I love dressing up, I am such a kid at heart.
Getting to the point...because I can ramble for hours

Well, I am off to read a little bit about Cubism...bouncing back into my student life and the idea of non-stop studying has been a tiny bit challenging. Plus, figuring out what to hear has been a total pain :S
