When in doubt and feeling down…

Hello Darlings,

When in doubt and feeling down.... just go shopping! This has been my motto for the past couple of days. During the time when I am feeling down, I always find joy in a shopping mall. Retail Therapy WORKS!

I don't care what people say, but the best way to get away from things is by either literary getting away (travel) or by escaping to the mall. There are times when a girl just needs to indulge and treat herself to a new purchase. But since,I've been stressing like crazy... I ended up with a hefty bag of goodies from Aritzia and a new pair of Ray Ban Wayfarer's.

With Love… at Toronto Fashion Week

Hello Darlings,

Last night Andrew and I and couple of friends attended a Gotstyle Menswear Made in Canada which was absolutely amazing, every piece in the multiple collections was perfection...The multiple collections that were presented were all very unique and beautiful, I loved it as did Andrew! We all had an amazing time at the show! Including a run into David Dixon... :P However I didn't want to bother him and was to0 shy to ask for a photo!

From Las Vegas With Love, part 2…

Hello Darlings,

First of all I would like to thank you all for your support on yesterdays post!!! I feel like this is my place to stand up for my personal beliefs and voice my opinion on certain matters, I'm not very good at overlooking things :P Thank you for your sweet words! I adore my blog and more so I adore the new friends ( all of you darlings) that I have made because of it :)

-----------------------------------------------------

This is the last part of my Las Vegas posts!

In the place of sunshine, hotness and dryness... the only thing that is left for a girl to do is stock up on sunscreen, purchase a floppy hat, consume ridiculous amounts of water and most importantly enjoy the beautiful weather :)

Lounging by the pool was probably the best way to beat the heat...and of course, finally have a chance to wear my new Brette Sandler silk cover up.

I am wearing: Brette Sandler silk cover up; Moschino Bikini ; Christian Audigier One piece swinsuit; Juicy Couture Flats; Coach Wristlet; Large Floppy hat from a random store.
Align Center

I am wearing:Kerrigan by Daryl K silk dress; Ruthie Davis Swarovski Crystal shoes; Coach Clutch

Despite a fact that I cannot handle heat and hate walking long distances, I made sure to bring 6 pair of heels and only 3 pairs of flats... brilliant thinking on my part :P Lesson learned, blisters happen after few hours of walking and dancing.... and those fabulous shoes you love so much become a torture device!!! ( Outchy) After experiencing my first blisters in many years after the first night of fun, I resorted to wearing my trusty flats up until the point of going to clubs.

I am wearing: Alexander Wang Chiffon Dress; Juicy Couture Flats;Coach Wristlet;Luc Kieffer Ring

Honestly, at first I could not bear the thought of wearing my favorite Wang dress or a newly favorite tutu skirt with flats... however, not only did I learn to love it, but I also came to understand that it could look undeniably cute and gives a certain touch of effortlessness to the entire ensemble..Honestly, I think that flats can look as wonderful as high heels... I know that this is the worst thing to say, since fashion dictates high heels is the most fabulous thing ever. I do find that flats are the best substitute that is just as beautiful and chic as high heels :) Don't get me wrong, I LOVE high heels... but being a student it is not very comfortable or practical. I do spoil myself by wearing heels to lecture only when I drive.

What do you darlings think? Can flats be as fabulous as high heels?
The big lessons learned:
- Heels are not worth wearing if you're going to cripple your feet!
- Wearing a floppy hat is a smart choice, not only to shield your face from the harmful rays but also to avoid heat stroke!

I am wearing: Maggie Ward Dress; Juicy Couture Flat; Gustto Cokera Purse; A.V. Max Cuff; Floppy Hat from a random store.

As for the rest of the vacation that was spent exploring, eating and lounging... I spent my time in flats and more casual attire! Including my all time favorite Meggie Ward dress... that I swear by! It looks amazing with everything, got to love those pieces that offer you endless variety. From casual to night out this dress is ideal!

I am wearing: Club Monaco Semi-Sheer Top; Abercrombie& Fitch Shorts; Bloch Patent Leather Flats; Chanel Sunglasses.

To top of almost every outfit I wore my floppy hat, religiously. I get heat strokes within minutes of being out in the hot weather. I never thought that I could pull it off or feel comfortable wearing it, but I fell in love. I know that fedora is a hat of the moment, but it made me feel like a teenage boy and really did not suit my style. Soooooo many people make it look a-m-a-z-i-n-g, I just felt awkward unfortunately. In comparison to the fedora, the floppy hat made me feel like a lady :)

By the way, if you're ever in Las Vegas check out the Bellagio fountains... I could watch them over and over and so I did. Andrew got pretty iffy about it :P Honestly, they are sooo stunning (click on the video belong and turn on the speakers). Also check out the Eiffel Tower, the views from there is beyond AMAZING!

I'm off to study French...school is back and stress is already building up!

I wish you all a stunning day!!!

With Love...

Liquid….

Hello Darlings,

I am still asking myself as to why I did not buy this skirt earlier, since I've tried it on at least a million times. Every time I would try it on, the "conservative" voice in my head would always talk me out of buying it with a simple question.... "Where are you going to wear a faux leather-like skirt?"

Well apparently everywhere!!!

I am wearing: H&M Tank; American Apparel Late Night Mini Skirt; Juicy Couture ballerinas; Luc Kieffer Barbared Wire Ring; A.V. Max Cuff; Gustto Cokera Purse; Chanel Sunglasses.

After months of doubting I've finally bought it and discovered that this skirt is like a pair of black jeans. It is a piece that my closet was lacking.

The skirt is a tiny bit too big and sits very comfortably with none of that annoying tightness. It also makes every simple tee look that much more fun and interesting. I've also uncovered today that it works amazingly with a pair of ballerinas... for just a simple and casual look. The idea that this skirt is only for partying is no longer occupying my mind and I am very excited to experiment with it.

Actually, I prefer to wear such attention grabbing piece with something more modest and subtle as a ballet flat, instead of sky-high stilettos. Well, maybe in Las Vegas... or when I am feeling super confident... I will wear it out with my favorite Kors heels for a night of guilty fun! Maybe, one day?!

As for today, it was just flats with a dusty-rose tank with triple chains.... and the detail freak that I am , the tank and flats are an identical color. The triple-chains added a unique touch to an otherwise simple tank.

YAY, it's Friday!!!

I wish you all a beautiful start to a weekend!!!

Las Vegas+21st Birthday=SO EXCITED!!!!

Hello Darlings,
Today was an especially exciting day since I booked my trip to LAS VEGAS for my 21st Birthday celebration ( yup, I turn 21 September 1st)..... soooooooooo EXCITED!!! This is an early b-day gift from my parents and I can't wait to go on September 2. Honestly, I am still jumping around !!!!

If you darling have any suggestions as what to see, where to go, shop, eat and of course where to party? I would really appreciate it!!!
Anyways, moving on from my over-excitement to today's outfit which I wore for dinner with one of my closest friends. Simple but on a dressy side. I love how the crystal accents matched the color of my shoes :) Yes... I know, I am a detail-freak! Plus, I thought that hot pink was an ideal color for a girls night out :P

To my surprise, I've been wearing AA disco pants quite a bit this summer.... I never really expected this from myself when I bought them. I really do love how they make every outfit that much more fun! OMG.... could this be me starting to slowly warm up to leggings after so many years of complete denial and refusal to even look at them... well, except for my ballet classes. Maybe... but not quite there yet and not sure if I will ever be, but never say never! I still prefer pants....

I am wearing:Whitley Silk Top; American Apparel Disco Pants; Mackage "Leane"Leather Jacket; Candela Tokyo Oxfords; Luc Kieffer Barbered Wire Ring; A.V. Max Cuff.

Also, I've been working on a fun "project" for this blog... and I can't wait to reveal it any day now. Just few touch ups and it is almost ready!!!!

Coldplay Concert….

Hello Darlings,

Yesterday was such a perfect day... mostly because I got to go to the Coldplay concert in Rogers Center. Andrews picked up the tickets a while ago and we were both very excite to attend our first concert. (Thanks hun!)

I would say that I am not a concert-y person but more of a ballet, musical and opera kind. But I must admit that I really did underestimate the power of live music. The show and the experience was phenomenal, I never experienced music in such an extreme and expressive way. There were over 50 thousand people and it was phenomenal being in one place with so many happy faces :) I would suggest going to a concert at least once in your lifetime, even if you think it is not for you-the experience is amazing.

It was also our 2 years and 7 month anniversary and yes we do "celebrate" them every month by doing something together. The night was completed by a late drinks at a cute downtown patio. I was and still am very excited... definitely a night to remember!

AS for the outfit for the night....

As for the outfit, I chose a sexier top with sparkle and sheerness and downplayed in with a more simple pair of pants. I felt that it was both comfortable and appropriate for the occasion.

I was very surprised at how casual people dress for concerts. People get more dressed up for hockey games :) It was a bit bizarre to me. Andrew and I also had seats rather than standing, because otherwise I would have died standing on my 5 inch heels from 8 pm until 12.

I am wearing: Alice+Olivia Sequence Top; Armani Exchange Pants;Michael Kors Heels; Gustto Cokera Purse;Luc Kieffer Ring.

Studious…

Hello Darlings,

Without the slightest idea as to what to wear or expect from the day to come.Sitting on my bed, putting on make-up, sipping on a double short espresso, and watching the morning news... I was wondering what story do my clothes tell? Is my outfit, like a book cover-and I am to be seen by it. As these thoughts were occupying my head, I was getting more nervous for the day that awaited me!!!

Last week, I received an e-mail from the art gallery director to come in on Monday(today) and participate in a promotional shoot for the University of Toronto. The first thing that hit my mind was.... OMG, what to wear? and 'till this moment I am not sure whether or not the outfit was ideal for the occasion. I am not sure what look I was going for or what exactly was expected out of me? Was I supposed to look like a young professional or just an everyday student.... because believe me the two are quite opposite. Instead, I settled for an outfit that felt right to me.... and it turned out to be perfect. When in doubt, I always wear what makes me feel fabulous.Because when you're freaking out about other things, your outfit is the last thing that you should worry about... you should feel great and know it :) It doesn't matter how fancy or simple it is, as long as you love it!

I decided on a simple top that I only tucked in the front with a pair of high waisted shorts and my favorite oxfords. Simple and chic. Actually, the other interns also wore shorts... which was a pleasant surprise. We all really did look coordinated, wearing our black shorts and simple tops. Great minds think alike? hahaha....
The setting of the photo shoot was set in the basement vault of the art gallery, where all of the art pieces are stored and where the creative thinking happens. Five of the interns were seated behind a huge table with a director, appearing to be having a wonderful and fun time. The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming. Isn't that just studious?!

I am wearing: Ralph Lauren Top; Talula Shorts; Luc Kieffer Ring; Candela Tokyo Oxfords; Juicy Couture Laptop Bag; Ray Ban Wayfarers ( gift from Andrew).

After grueling but fun few hours... I set out to catch up on some reading in the galleries courtyard and then off to the library to continue working on the docent package. It was a long but interesting day....
...I actually enjoy spending time in my university, the atmosphere is very relaxed in the summer time and students are always outside in their private little worlds catching up on their work, plus the university offers many architecturally beautifully and stunningly landscaped getaways. If you ever visit Toronto, you must see the St. George Campus of University of Toronto. It is situated in the heart of downtown and is absolutely, overwhelmingly beautiful! I should take more pictures to show you darlings.

In my School Bag...

I also decided to include my school bag and belongings that I can't live without...I always wonder what do people carry in their huge purses.

A laptop - my new Lenovo Think Pad that my daddy just got me.I adore it, I find it to be very serious looking. I can't live without a laptop, it comes with me everywhere.
Oxford Art & Artists Dictionary - i must know everything!
" The Age of Innocence" by Edith Wharton - a novel to read while taking a break at Starbucks.
Ray Bans - I wear them 24/7. I feel more discreet and comfortable in sunnies, it's like I am in my own little bubble.
Wallet - I love this leather baby blue wallet, it fits everything.
Binder - to keep my photocopies organized.
Lip Gloss and Translucent Powder - for on the go touch ups.
Cell Phone.

P.S. I would like to apologize for falling behind on commenting, it's a bit busy on my side but your lovely comments always make my days a little brighter. Thank you!

I wish you all a beautiful start to a new week!!!!
