From Las Vegas With Love, part 2…

Hello Darlings,

First of all I would like to thank you all for your support on yesterdays post!!! I feel like this is my place to stand up for my personal beliefs and voice my opinion on certain matters, I'm not very good at overlooking things :P Thank you for your sweet words! I adore my blog and more so I adore the new friends ( all of you darlings) that I have made because of it :)

-----------------------------------------------------

This is the last part of my Las Vegas posts!

In the place of sunshine, hotness and dryness... the only thing that is left for a girl to do is stock up on sunscreen, purchase a floppy hat, consume ridiculous amounts of water and most importantly enjoy the beautiful weather :)

Lounging by the pool was probably the best way to beat the heat...and of course, finally have a chance to wear my new Brette Sandler silk cover up.

I am wearing: Brette Sandler silk cover up; Moschino Bikini ; Christian Audigier One piece swinsuit; Juicy Couture Flats; Coach Wristlet; Large Floppy hat from a random store.
Align Center

I am wearing:Kerrigan by Daryl K silk dress; Ruthie Davis Swarovski Crystal shoes; Coach Clutch

Despite a fact that I cannot handle heat and hate walking long distances, I made sure to bring 6 pair of heels and only 3 pairs of flats... brilliant thinking on my part :P Lesson learned, blisters happen after few hours of walking and dancing.... and those fabulous shoes you love so much become a torture device!!! ( Outchy) After experiencing my first blisters in many years after the first night of fun, I resorted to wearing my trusty flats up until the point of going to clubs.

I am wearing: Alexander Wang Chiffon Dress; Juicy Couture Flats;Coach Wristlet;Luc Kieffer Ring

Honestly, at first I could not bear the thought of wearing my favorite Wang dress or a newly favorite tutu skirt with flats... however, not only did I learn to love it, but I also came to understand that it could look undeniably cute and gives a certain touch of effortlessness to the entire ensemble..Honestly, I think that flats can look as wonderful as high heels... I know that this is the worst thing to say, since fashion dictates high heels is the most fabulous thing ever. I do find that flats are the best substitute that is just as beautiful and chic as high heels :) Don't get me wrong, I LOVE high heels... but being a student it is not very comfortable or practical. I do spoil myself by wearing heels to lecture only when I drive.

What do you darlings think? Can flats be as fabulous as high heels?
The big lessons learned:
- Heels are not worth wearing if you're going to cripple your feet!
- Wearing a floppy hat is a smart choice, not only to shield your face from the harmful rays but also to avoid heat stroke!

I am wearing: Maggie Ward Dress; Juicy Couture Flat; Gustto Cokera Purse; A.V. Max Cuff; Floppy Hat from a random store.

As for the rest of the vacation that was spent exploring, eating and lounging... I spent my time in flats and more casual attire! Including my all time favorite Meggie Ward dress... that I swear by! It looks amazing with everything, got to love those pieces that offer you endless variety. From casual to night out this dress is ideal!

I am wearing: Club Monaco Semi-Sheer Top; Abercrombie& Fitch Shorts; Bloch Patent Leather Flats; Chanel Sunglasses.

To top of almost every outfit I wore my floppy hat, religiously. I get heat strokes within minutes of being out in the hot weather. I never thought that I could pull it off or feel comfortable wearing it, but I fell in love. I know that fedora is a hat of the moment, but it made me feel like a teenage boy and really did not suit my style. Soooooo many people make it look a-m-a-z-i-n-g, I just felt awkward unfortunately. In comparison to the fedora, the floppy hat made me feel like a lady :)

By the way, if you're ever in Las Vegas check out the Bellagio fountains... I could watch them over and over and so I did. Andrew got pretty iffy about it :P Honestly, they are sooo stunning (click on the video belong and turn on the speakers). Also check out the Eiffel Tower, the views from there is beyond AMAZING!

I'm off to study French...school is back and stress is already building up!

I wish you all a stunning day!!!

From Las Vegas With Love, part 1….

Hello Darlings,

Vegas was AMAZING... every minute felt like a second, and a day went by in a glance. So much to do, so much to see... it was actually overwhelming and deciding what to wear everyday and night was even more difficult. Overall, I had the time of my life while trying to stay cool, relaxed and totally entertained. I did avoid gambling, since I am not a firm supporter, neither is Andrew (luckily)!!!

Andrew and I stayed at the charming Paris Hotel and were very pleased with it...very beautiful and unique!!!

♥Birthday Celebration!!!!

My birthday consisted of an awesome dinner at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant which beautifully overlooked the Bellagio fountains, followed by a trip to VooDoo Lounge, then XS nightclub (thanks to those of you who recommend it, it was perfect!!!)

I settled for a simple outfit that made me feel like a ballerina, nothing too over exposing but just perfect for me!!!

I am wearing: Wilfred nude bustier tee; Free People Ribbon Skirt;Be&D Antonia Pumps; Coach Wristlet; Diamond Studs, A.V.Max Cuff.

I did switch the shoes, since I was starting to feel pain wearing my Be&D patent leather shoes ( I find patent leather shoes always less comfortable) and settled for my new Perdo Gardia's.

Vegas Exploring!

On the first day that we arrived, it was all about exploring and familiarizing ourselves with the area and the shopping scene. We also had a chance to check out "Warhol and friends" exhibit at the Bellagio and although it was small the pieces were well selected to represent his period.

In terms of shopping, I mostly stayed away except stopping by the Chanel store to pick up some make up and to buy myself a floppy hat at some random hat store (I'll show it in the second part of my Vegas posts).

As for the outfit, I stayed comfortable with a classic black and white combination... I mostly stayed away from looking too casual.

I am wearing: Susana Monaco Top; Talula Shorts; Bloch Patent Leather Flats; Chanel Sunglasses; Gustto Cokera Purse; A.V. Max Cuff; Diamond Studs.

Road Trip to Grand Canyon and Hover Dam!

I would say that my favorite part of the Las Vegas vacation was the trip to Grand Canyon and Hover Dam.... nothing beats the experience :) It had become one of those life long memories that are always a joy to look back on and create a need to go back to :)

Andrew and I rented a highlander and ventured out on a 5 hour drive down the deserts of Nevada and Arizona...the drive was the MOST beautiful experience ever! I've never enjoyed being in a car as much as this, it was just breathtaking. It even rained in the desert which was probably one of the coolest experiences ever!

If I could recommend one thing to do-this would be it, or travel to the Grand Canyon as a separate vacation... which I am hoping to do sometime ( go hiking, camping and rock climbing in the canyon)!

As for the outfit, I settled for a loose long sleeve top, mainly so that my shoulders wouldn't burn. Denim shorts and my oxfords... simple and easy! No fuss! I also chose to tie my hair back, it is impossible to have your hair looking great in such an environment without fixing it every hour or so and who needs that on a road trip. So for me it was a pony with a bow headband!

I am wearing:Wilfred top; Abercrombie&Fitch Shorts; Candela Tokyo Oxfords;Ray Ban Wayfarers; H&M Bow Headband.

The trip was perfect! I couldn't have asked for more...well, driving back as the sun was setting over the desert was a cherry on top of a perfect day!

More pictures are coming up... in the next post!I hardly had the time to sit back and enjoy an espresso!
I did unpack my luggage which was rummaged through by United States Transportation Security Administration. Apparently my hair straightener and curler were suspicious :P (according to the letter found in my luggage). The locks were cut off and everything was a total mess including my make-up kit... Who could have thought that shoes and beauty supplies are a security threat? Did you hear that Chanel,Michael Kors and Conair... your products are dangerous! HAHAHAHA.... I am just kidding! I am all for being safe!!!

My university lectures start tomorrow and I am still tired and exhausted!!!

P.S. Darlings, bare with me...I promise that I will do my best to reply to all of the comments and e-mails as soon as I can!!! Pretty Thank You!!!

I wish you all a beautiful day!!!

Re-Discovered…

Hello Lovelies,
Today, I re-discovered my first pair of Michael Kors shoes... and they are still one of my favorite...

I got them about three years ago and still love them to death.Love love love! Because of these babies, I fell in love with Kors footwear...it's a love affair that lasted for over 3 years now and it's nowhere near to be done with :) They are my footsies perfect match....I could walk in his high heels for hours and not feel the slightest sign of discomfort.

Love you Mr. Kors!!!!

I am wearing: Twenty8 Twelve Tee; Talula Hoodie;Abercrombie&Fitch Cleo Shorts; Michael Kors Wedges; Regina Italia Handmade Leather Purse; A.V. Max Cuff.
After a day of working away from home in PJ's, Andrew and I went out to grab some deserts and espresso's an a near by bistro...just what I needed to unwind and relax. This week is quite busy with gallery runs, research, last minute shopping, and packing.... since my 21st Birthday is a week away and so is my Vegas celebration!!! YAY!
--------------------------------------------------------------------

By the way, I totally forgot to show you my Kors boots that I picked up last week and have mentioned before and a silk cover-up that I picked up about 10 minutes ago!!!

I've never been the one to favor beach cover ups but the moment I saw this baby I had to have it. It is going to look amazing with my Moschino bathing suit and Miss Trish of Capri sandals :)

Well, I am off to do more research....as soon as I am done this Friday, I will make sure to reply to all of the e-mail/comments, Promise!
Wish you all a beautiful day!!!

Heat Wave…

Hello Darlings,

It's been brutally hot in Toronto for the past few days...and I hate it. I don't like hot weather and I can't wait for the fall to start. I find summer to be one of those seasons that require as little clothing as possible and usually doesn't allow much choice when it comes to dressing. Getting totally bored with my current summer choices and feeling uninspired... I've decided to do something drastic, well at least for me, and buy a cropped tank today at American Apparel. I loved it so much that I wore it out of the store. I also picked these babies....

After today's shopping rendezvous, I am issuing myself a "stay away from the malls" note that I am going to hang up my door.... :P All that I see is SALE SALE SALE.. how can you not go in? Will power you might say....well, I don't have any :(

Today after my shopping rendezvous mommy and I made a stop over at Godiva to pick up some chocolate... and then grocery shop and then hit the park for a quick walk. Honestly, I spend a lot of time with my parents, not only are they the coolest (all my friends think so as well) but also my best friends. Family to me in the most important thing in this life and I cherish every moment with them...

(Eating Godiva chocolate... my favorite with raspberry filling. hehe)

Back to the outfit, it was so crazy hot today... that I didn't even mind being more naked than usual. Hate hot weather. The new tee and Abercrombie shorts were my life savers, plus they are going to come in handy in Vegas ( can't wait, I am counting down the days!).

Plus, while I was shopping today and realized that my 21st Birthday is just few weeks again.... I panicked. Not because I am terrified of aging, but because this officially makes me a grown-up. My thoughts began to overwhelm me and I decided that if I want to wear a cropped tee and tiny shorts this is the time...not 10 years from now, but now.

Plus, my mom encourages me to embrace my youth and have fun with fashion :) So, I've embraced the idea of experimenting and coming out of my boundaries. This tee and shorts are definitely WAYYYYYYYYYYYYY out of my boundaries. and I Love it!!!!

Lovelies, honest thoughts.... what do you think of cropped tee's???? Yay or Nay???

dVb Jeans and finding the perfect pair…

Hello Darlings,

" More than any other piece of clothing, jeans can show off your figure to its best" -Victoria Beckham,18

After a day of shopping and running errands... I am more in love with these Beckham jeans than I ever expected. Victoria Beckham really does understand the female body and the concept of creating flattening pair of jeans. I really feel feminine in them-plus they hug every curve and hides every flaw. Since I was amazed at how wonderful her jeans are, I decided to revisit her book "That Extra Half and Inch" and share with you some of her suggestions to finding a perfect pair, fit, wash and style.

♥Check the Waist Band

- The waistband shouldn't be too thick and heavy because it will dig painfully into hips and that gives everyone the hated muffin-top look.
- Check that the waistband doesn't do that annoying gaping thing at the back, either, as you'll end up with a weird wind-tunnel effect.
- Look for jeans that are cut higher at the back so not only do they not gape but also they don't give you builder's bottom every time you sit.

♥Please-No Bagging
- Jeans that bag around the knees or bottom are another fashion disaster and it's amazing how many designer's don't pay attention to this.
- I always make sure my jeans have just a bit of stretch to them (but not too much that they bag), are narrow around the leg and give shape to the bottom instead of squashing it down.

♥Get The Length Right
- With heels, the bottom of your jeans should just skim your toes, as that will give a good couple of inches of length to your legs.
- With flats, jeans should end almost at the tip of the shoe, maybe even just graze the ground, and break almost at your toes.

♥Color Me Beautiful
- White looks fresh and funky for summer, but be wary as sometimes whit jeans can make your things look larger than they actually are.
- Subtle shade of powder blue and pale gray are interesting too and look best in skinny drainpipe or high-waisted styles.
- Black jeans are great as long as you get them in a good cut-slim styles are best, remember: skinny black is sexy rock'n'roll; baggy black tends to be a bit roadie and quite unflattering.

♥Sizing
- Whatever your size, it is important to firstly try your jeans on to make sure they fit, and secondly buy the right size regardless of the number.

♥ From High Street to High Fashion
- As a general guideline I recommend buying one pair of straight-leg or boot-cut jeans and one pair of skinny.

♥ Jeans what to buy
1. Great Buy
- Cheap Monday/ Florence and Fred/H&M/ Kate Moss for Topshop/ Lee/ New Look
2. Hot Label
- Acne/ Diesel/ Fornarina/ Miss Sixty/ Notify/Serfontaine
3. Super Luxe
- Chloe/ dVb/ McQ/Sass&Bide/ Stella Mc Cartney/ Superfine

"I wanted to create a collection of denim that essentially combined both style and comfort whilst looking desirably gorgeous and glamorous."
- Victoria Beckham,21

And so she did....

... after a day of shopping. I felt absolutely amazing wearing them. Although the jean does have a flare to it, I absolutely love how long it makes my legs look. The jeans are definitely the object of attention in this outfit... I was going for a simple look but the jeans gave the outfit an interesting twist. I also must say that I really love the little stars on the behind pockets... :)

I am wearing: dVb Skinny Flare Jeans; Abercrombie&Fitch Sweater; Michael Kors Heels; Gustto Cokera Purse; Diamond Ring courtesy Ice.com Jewelers;Accessories&Beyond Bracelets; Ray Ban Wayfarers ( gift from Andrew)

Well, I am off to run a few errands and then spend sometime in the pool...

Gray…

Hello Darlings,
Yay... my Revolve Clothing packages have arrived.Which included Candela Oxfords!!!

No longer associated with salesmen and schoolgirls, flat oxfords have been updated in enough colors and finishes to please every whimsy. With charming simplicity and delicate detail- I was in love with these darlings the moment I saw them. However, I had to be patient for them to go on sale from $243 to $121 and I might add,it was well worth it.They are more beautiful than I ever expected. I was so excited and still am :) Boy-o-boy, I love those days when my orders arrive... it feels like petite Christmas.

I am sooooo in love with them... they are my new substitutes for an all time favorite ballerinas!

The shoe itself is very delicate and in fact, quite feminine. The leather is a-m-a-z-i-n-g-l-y soft and the comfort is indescribable. Plus, I love that there a no laces, which makes them even more interesting. Although, I hate to favor my shoes, these are definitely on top of the list. It is a perfect shoe for summer and fall...They are a unique touch to my subtle and simple wardrobe-just how I like it, simple outfit with interesting details.

Today's outfit, consisted of my new favorites paired with all gray. I adore wearing gray-on-gray and adding a touch of brighter color, such as this purple bag...Also, I've decided that rolling up jeans is a fabulous way to showcase gorgeous footwear and achieve a more casual look. As for the top, well this is one of my favorite tops in the closet, reason being is the beautiful way that it drapes as well as the feminine way it emphasizes the shoulders. I adore this top, it is also an easy transition piece... one that can be worn both for casual-to-evening occasions. Plus, the detailing is phenomenal.

I am wearing:French Connection Shirt; Abercrombie&Fitch Skinnies; Candela Tokyo Oxfords; Regina Italia Handmade Leather Purse; A.V. Max Cuff;Tungsten Ring (worn on the thumb) courtesy Superior Wedding Rings Jewelers.

Also, I though that I should share my views on.....

I've finally had the chance to watch Vanity Fair movie and I must say that I really enjoyed it until closer towards the end. Three hundred pages of Thackeray's work was condensed into 20 minutes and the ending was completely opposite of what it was in the book. I hate when movies change the meaning of the books, especially in such a powerful and significant work as this. I wish that the director stayed true to the book, instead of making it a happily- ever- after ending...which it was not, at least not for Becky Sharp. For those of you who loved the movie, you will adore the book. It is a beautiful film in it's own way, but it does not do the book any justice. The plot was far too simplified and did not portray the true intentions of the author-who is so brilliant. The novel is a masterpiece, but the movie is simply good! I must admit that acting was wonderful.

Anyways, I am off to review my French words... the language is slowly coming along. Sometimes I feel like I am taking up too much tasks for one summer. However, I do enjoy being busy and on the go, It makes me feel alive

I wish you all a lovely day!!!

Shorts=Complicated…

Bonjour mes amis!!! Comment vas-tu?

Shorts=Complicated. Finding a pair of shorts for me was a never ending mission until I came upon these Wilfred babies. In search for a perfect pair I've tried all... the cute classic cut that looks prim and proper, the distressed über short shorts that hardly covered my bottom, and looks grunge, the boyfriend shorts that looked laid back, and countless other styles. None of them worked for me!!! Sure they looked alright but they were simply not me. I will not buy an item because I simply like it, that item need to fell like it's ME. And this pair WAS ME!!! YAYAY... mission impossible, made possible.
Honestly, darlings finding these silky babies yesterday was a blessing. It was all thanks to my wonderful mom who picked them out and nearly forced me to try them on.They are breezy, silky, neutral colored and are an ideal addition to my summer wardrobe.A unique take on a summer classic. Easy to dress up and easy to dress down, for me this summer is all about effortless simplicity. Plus they were on sale from $60 to $50... not a huge difference but it is better than nothing.
I am wearing: Wilfred Silk Shorts; Abercrombie&Fitch tee; Wilfred Sweater; Bloch Patent Leather Flats; Marc Jacobs Sunglasses; Gustto Cokera Purse; Pearl earrings (gift from parents); Diamond ring courtesy Ice.com jewelers.
Today I discovered a beautiful botanical garden exactly 5 minutes away from home. If only I had known that such beauty exists so close by... I would have spent all of those hours reading Vanity Fair in there. I am down 650 pages about 50 more to go :)

Also, I would like to send out a special THANK YOU to two very wonderful blogger's: Little Rus at Fashion Tidbits and That Girl at Forty Not Out for the lovely awards!!!! Thank you darlings :D

P.S.I am truly overwhelmed at how supportive you've been of my Elle Canada contest pages, for that I would like to THANK each and every single one of you.
... I HAVE ADDED A NEW LOOK. If you haven't had a chance to check them out ... Click HERE.Thanks a million!!! If I actually win this contest, I will definitely have a little surprise for you darlings as a thank you - This is the part I am most excited about!

I wish you all a beautiful Wednesday!!!
