Formula that always works…
Hello Darlings,
I know ladies that many of you feel this way in the mornings as well....so what is your secret or that perfect thing that you always reach for in such cases??? You know, the formula that always work????
For me that formula is simple.... skinny jeans, simple tee, cute jacket, scarf, heel/flats., sunglasses. It is always a variety of the sameness. To a certain degree awesome, since I know it works but at the same time I feel bored... knowing that I can always resort to my safe bet. Plus, these new babies are becoming my absolutely favorites and I don't seem to be willing to take them off... they are soooooo comfortable it still amazes me
However, I have a plan of action:
- Draw some inspiration from my favorite Fall 09 fashion shows and random sources.
- Settle down with school work and prevent it from overwhelming me. First weeks are the hardest, always.
- Go shopping with mommy!
- Remember: Breeze and Relax!!!
I wish you all a stunning day!!!

Detail Freak…
Salut mes amis !!!( just practicing my French
)
So finally, the weather cooled to beautiful and refreshing 20 degrees and I've had a chance to wear what I love most... skinnies and blazers. OOh, yea and not to forget, no humidity
As a result, I was pretty excited getting dressed for my Saturday date with Andrew....
Would you say that you're a detail-freak???
I am wearing: Talula Babaton Semi-sheer tee; Calvin Klein Bra; Corpus Skinnies in Ash; BCBG Max Azria Blazer; Michael Kors Heels; Gustto Cokera Purse; Accessories&Beyond Bracelets.
And not to forget a good cause...
I'm off to study French... which I am actually enjoying for now! By the way, some of you asked what languages I know, so here it is: Ukrainian is my first language, English is my second language, Russian, German, and now French.
P.S. I would like to thank all of you for your sweet comments on my Elle Canada contest pages. If you haven't had a chance to check them out ... just click here... here and here. Thanks a million!!! If I actually win this contest I will definitely have a little surprise for you darlings as a thank you - This is the part I am most excited about!

Ukraine: Freezing
Hello Darlings,
Well, it is as if I jinxed myself. Two days ago, the temperature was in the mid 20s and today it is so cold. Thankfully I thought of bringing my trusty Kors booties. I am finally getting over my jetleg ( Ukraine is 7 hours ahead of Canada) and enjoying every minute I have with my family.

I am wearing: Mackage Leather Jacket; Corpus Skinnies; Club Monaco Cashmere Scarf; Michael Kors Booties; Gap Leather Purse; H&M Bow Headband.

Me being an architecture and art freak,I have to make sure that I visit every landmark and museum ( sooo many churches to see, lol). The time if going my sooo fast. Although I am loving every minute here, I do miss the loved ones in Canada.

Time for me to go sleep, it's 2 am.... ZZZZzzzzzzz

Ordinary…
Hello Darlings,
Well, today was an ordinary day... school, study... ooh yea, and babysitting my 5 year old cousin. He and I had a blast watching Transformers movie.
Aanyways, on to the important issues and posts coming up:
1) V-day
Enough said... Whats a girl to wear?
What are you planning on wearing ( if celebrating)?
2) Spring Wardrobe
Well, it is -20 and I am already planning out my spring wardrobe. Leather jacket was the starting point. Definitely something so post about...hehe
Over a certain period of time, I've received comments and e-mails asking" How can I afford/organize my wardrobe on a student budget?" I actually have quite a technique that works for me and does not require crazy amounts of money. So, I will definately make a post regarding that in the near future...I am actually really thrilled to do it.
Well, today's outfit was pretty simple...I was too lazy to be creative and really didn't want to go to my German class. One thing I've learned in University is DON'T START A LANGUAGE IN A UNIVERSITY. It will slowly murder you.... like German is murdering me now. But a girl's got to do what a girl's got to do....get a tutor ( as if 4 hour lectures are not enough)
I bet many of you wonder... why do I always take picture in the same place.Well...
1) I hate taking pics in public... I'm kind of shy in that way.
2) It is like -20 outside.
3) I like taking pics in the privacy of my room with nobody's help. I just place my camera on a shelf and point towards my favorite nook. hehe... no fancy photography skills here.
Anyways, back I go... I am writing a textbook review for my research. So not fun.

Collectors Edition… 100!!!
Seriously, I am a Twilight Freak!!! lol - almost embarrassing, considering my age, lol.
- " Leonardo's Swan" by Karen Essex
- " Jane Eyre" by Charlotte Bronte
- " Scandal of the Season" by Sophie Gee
- "1984" by George Orwell
- " Alchemist", " The Zahir" and " Eleven Minutes" by Paulo Coelho
- " Gone with the Wind" by Margaret Mitchell
- " Sister Carrie" by Theodore Dreiser
- " Memoirs of Geisha" by Arthur Golden
- Anything and everything by Agatha Christie.
I am always looking to read something new and interesting... I would really appreciate if you would leave me some suggestions.
It is the same thing with Corpus jeans( I adore Corpus jeans, I have few pairs and adore them - would strongly recommend them), which have a pinch pleat down front of the leg... which makes them feel less casual.

Rails Peyton Long Sleeve Tee
Spring & Clifton V-neck Long Cardi
Corpus Alpha in Cracked
Pearl Earrings
American Apparel Lame Headband
Michael Kors booties
So, to bring all the details together - I decided to pull my hair in a high messy bun with a headbaand pearl earrings( to go along with pearl buttons) and to make it more winter friendly I added a long cozy cardi with colorful buttons.
I wish you all a lovely Tuesday!!!

Cozy Knits…
Hello Darlings,
Well, living in Canada comes with its own ups and downs...
Downs - freezing every part of your body in -20 temperatures.
But you know what.... I wouldn't change anything about it. Crazy temperature changes present me with a new fashion challenge... well almost everyday.
So today's being....
finding a hat.
However, finding a perfect hat was a challenge and a half...and I must admit I failed at it.
It seems like hats come in limited supplies and in pretty boring variations and to justify my crazy buy - I love this hat.

I am wearing:
Mariouche Hat with recycled fox fur ( i usually stay away from fur) and it is made in Canada.
Gap Sweater in Grey
Corpus Skinnies in Ash
Regina Italia Handmade Italian Leather Bag in Plum
Juicy Couture Leather Boots
Accessories & Beyond Elastic Bracelet Set in Black & Gold
There's always an inspiration....

Chanel;Burberry Prorsum; Hermes.
I am seriously starting to love hats.
Maybe, winter isn't so bad... I mean think of all the cute accessories- scarves, hats, and gloves.

Twilight Update: Well, I finished the last book of Twilight Saga - Breaking Down - during my trip (yup....most of my vacation pics have Breaking Down in them, lol) - I LOVED IT. I am obsessed with the books... I really hope Stephanie Meyer decides to publish Midnight Sun - which is Edward's version of Twilight...I mean, does it get any better than that. If you have any info on this book.... please do share.
Your favorites?
I wish you all a wonderful day and stay warm... hehe!!!!

From Mexico with Love….part one!!!
Hello Darlings!!!
I am back ... and wish I wasn't!!!!
All I can say is I LOVE MEXICO!!! Really, the country and the people are incredible. It was definately an unforgettable vacation that was filled with tons of fun, drunken moments , sunny days, and awesome adventure. Cancun was an ideal vacation destination for Andrew and I... which offered incredible night life and amazing adventure.Grand Oasis, a beautiful 5 star resort, was definately the heart of the party atmosphere..... It was definately a time of our life!!!
Therefore.... I decided to dedicate this post to my vacation wardrobe... which was fairly simple and casual... but still just as important during the vacation as it is during my everyday life. It mainly consisted of bikinis, summery dresses, my new Miss Trish of Capri Sandals ( i lived in them), high heels, flats, jeans, and tees.
Well traveling from Canada to Mexico can be a bit difficult.... since we were leaving during a crazy snow storm and deciding what to wear was a mission...
I am wearing:
M. Rena Wool Sweater - my all time favorite, no sweater beats it.
Gap Long Sveele Cotton Shirt
Corpus Skinnies in Ash
Juicy Couture Flats - so comfy
Gap Leather Purse
Coach Swingpack - a gift from Andrew
Therefore, I settled for a pair of fluffy flats( but brought a pair of fuzzy socks for an airplane, just to be cozy). I also wore my favorite sweater and a thin long sleeve shirt, but later changed into a tank. My carry on luggage consisted of two purses.... my favorite large leather hobo and a swingpack... which securely keep all the documents and a wallet closely to my body at all times. And of course, no make up - it is just really bad for your skin on the flight.
NEW YEARS
All I can say is nothing can compare to ringing in the new year in Cancun.... Simply WOW!!!
Well, New Years is always a big deal to me and having an opportunity to celebrate it in Cancun mean that I had to find a perfect dress. Which turned out to be more difficult then I though... but I did find exactly what I was looking for. A simple, pretty, comfortable and breeze dress.... for an unforgettable night in Cancun city.
I am wearing:
French Connection Dress with pockets - I love it so much, it is so comfy and versatile.
Michael Kors Heels
The night started off with an amazing dinner an a Brazilian stake house, and then went on to The City night club with Sandra Collins DJing which was soooo much fun...and then a party by a swimming pool in our resort.
The New Years celebration lasted into the wee hours of the morning.... ![]()
When Andrew and I were deciding on our vacation destination earlier this year, we knew that we wanted to have a cultural experience as well as a party atmosphere, therefore Mexico seemed like an ideal choice. For me, as an architectural freak seeing the ruins was probably the most exciting part of the trip ( I am a geek, I know,lol)... and although, I wish I could have seen as three sites close to Cancun (Chichen Itza, Tulum, and Coba) .... I settled for Coba.
I am wearing:
French Connection Cotton Tee Dress - I love in to death.
Miss Trish of Capri Sandals - I lived in them from day to night. I Love them - definitely worth every penny.
Ray Ban Wayfarers - a gift from Andrew
Coba is a large ruined city of the Pre-Colonial Mayan civilization and is also a location of the newly discovered Mayan ruins and pyramids. The site was opened to the public in 1972 and only 8 % of an estimate of 6,000 structures are restored. The main pyramid, Nohoch Mul is 42 meters tall ( 138 feet) and is the highest in the Yucatan Peninsula.
Our day was filled with adventure in a Mayan village located in the jungle, where we had a Mayan ceremony with a shaman, ate Mayan food with the locals, wondered around a jungle,Zip-lined across the lake, went swimming in a meteorite crater( Cenote), as well as water canoeing through a lagoon. ( The pictures were impossible to take, lol)
The day was definately filled with adventure and excitement that is truly unforgettable.
The other half of the pictures are coming up soon
P.S. This weekend is really busy for me, since it is my Christmas as well as tomorrow I have the black tie event to attend... and have appointment starting 10 am. Therefore, I apologize for not responding to your warm comments right away.
To a certain degree I am glad to be back... but at the same time, still trying to adjust to the brutally cold weather and going back to uni.
Merry Christmas to those of you who celebrate it on the 7th!!!!!
