When in doubt and feeling down.... just go shopping! This has been my motto for the past couple of days. During the time when I am feeling down, I always find joy in a shopping mall. Retail Therapy WORKS!
I don't care what people say, but the best way to get away from things is by either literary getting away (travel) or by escaping to the mall. There are times when a girl just needs to indulge and treat herself to a new purchase. But since,I've been stressing like crazy... I ended up with a hefty bag of goodies from Aritzia and a new pair of Ray Ban Wayfarer's.

I've received a very cute e-mail asking me to share some of my cottage getaway essentials. Of course, cottage country is all about awesome times and relaxing but that does not mean that you get to live and sleep in your pj's the entire trip! So fellow cottagers I suggest you put on some "real" clothes and put your cutest foot forward (and it better have a pedi) when grabbing that ice cream or going for stroll.
Looking cute is not always the first priority when out and about in the cottage country, but things are soooo much more fun when you look and feel fantastic!
For yoga, not for everyday…

Have you ever wondered what people wear to their exercise class or gym? I always do! I decided to take up yoga post-car accident in order to strengthen my core to reduce back and neck pains. Half of the problem was finding a studio that I would like and the other half was to find adorable exercise gear. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, that means that I actually had to make my first trip to Lululemon. I do not dislike the place, I just despise the people who decided that Lululemon, or for that matter any exercise gear, can be worn as everyday clothing.

Just wanted to say a quick hello and wish everyone a lovely Monday.Between my exams and assignments, I don't have much time for anything else, even sleep. I usually stay away from taking pictures when I am in a bad mood aka exam time. Really, who wants to see grumpy/exhausted looking images! Not fun! Despite the stressful times, taking care of yourself is quite important. And feeling fabulous can be a challenge, but at least you can try! This is my attempt at looking fabulous when feeling totally non-fabulous

Do fashion and education go hand in hand? Probably not, but they definitely could and should. Being a university student, I face this dilemma everyday when getting ready in the morning: how can one be stylish and still not be perceived as “trying too hard”? My personal style is more of a preppy meets I-am-not-sure. Actually, I can never really define what+what=Marta’s style. Let’s just say I like feeling pulled-together and neat. Some may call it “high maintenance,” but I disagree, as it takes me only 30 minutes to get ready! The point is most of the time I get “high maintenance” or “trying too hard” or “this is university, why even bother dressing up” looks. Does it annoy me? Sure! Would I ever downplay my love for dressing up? Of course not!”

It is a perfect time for a little time-out, as I have a million assignments and exams to write in the following 2 weeks. Today’s post is all about lazy days and desserts, which, in my life, are hand-in-hand. The other night Andrew and I went to one of our favorite dessert places. We had our custom cookies, cappuccinos/chai lattes and played around with the camera. I am still learning how to use it: P
