Holiday Prep: how to find holiday party dress and decode a party invitation…
Hello Darlings,
With holiday season just around the corner and shopping malls filling with crowds of people, everyone is slowly being absorbed by the holiday spirit. Of course, I adore this time of the year however along with the beautiful festivities comes a time when one needs to find that one, two or maybe three party dresses. Ones that will work for an office party, a family party, a girl’s night out and of course a hot date. With so many occasions to cover and so much to chose from… I set out to find my own holiday cocktail dress.

“A white dress she had on. She was carrying a white parasol. I only saw her for one second. She didn’t see me at all. But I’ll bet a month hasn’t gone by since that I hadn’t thought of that girl.”
– Citizen Kane

Before hitting the stores, I once again decided to turn to my trusty fashion books for some advice and tips on how to find that ideal cocktail dress as well as how to decode a party invitation. I am sure that everyone has encountered that one invitation that left you dazed and confused as to what is expected of your attire.
Under the Weather…
Hello Darlings,
Despite the beautiful fall weather, I am feeling quite under the weather with sniffles and the whole shazam
But I am back with a quick outfit post from this Friday. Despite a fun weekend of shopping, dinners, lunches, and birthdays with my girlies... I had zero luck in the shopping department. After a Saturday afternoon of shopping, I came home with only a book :S. However, I was quite excited to get my hands on the new Nina Garcia book, Look Book: What to Wear for Every Occasion. Which is quite informative and always super fun to read!
Another great piece of information that I wanted to share was this awesome list of stores and services in Toronto that are recommended by Jeanne Beker. For those who are not familiar, Jeanne Beker is a host of Fashion Television and is one of the most iconic and influential women in the fashion industry in Canada and around the world. It's definitely worth checking out

Stella Artois Film Screening to Celebrate TIFF’s Opening Night…
Hello Darlings,
Toronto International Film Festival is well underway and downtown Toronto is swarmed with celebs, paparazzi, people and celebrity stalkers
Despite a fact that I despise hassles and bustles of busy places, I tend to quite enjoy lively atmosphere that surrounds the city during this time of the year.Luckily, I was invited to Stella Artois Film Screening at The Drake Hotel to celebrate the opening of TIFF. Thank you Noor!
I had the pleasure of spending the day with one of my besties, Anna....

MMJ Additions and Transitions…
Hello Darlings,
Whew, it has been a crazy summer...full of unexpected events and never ending study sessions! As the summer is coming to a halt and I am counting down the days to my birthday...I must admit that I am looking forward to a start of a new season.
It is not only because I adore fall fashions, but because fall is a beginning of something new. It is the time to pack away summer closet and unpack the fall attire, decide on a darker and richer hue for the hair do, switch from sherbets to burgundies on your nails, tone down the pink lip color, take out the cashmere reserves, and of course step forward with booties and boots! How can it not be exciting? The beautiful coats, the stunning scarfs, a million ways to layer a cardi, the opaque tights, and of course the leather jackets! Just the thought of a beautiful fall day, with a hot coffee in hand, absorbing the last rays of sunshine, surrounded by the falling leaves and the golden colors..makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside

Explore the horizons…
Hello Darlings,
Just a quick post before I run out to meet one of my girlies for some good old chitchat
My apologies for the absence but as some of you might already know I am going trough some changes. Amongst them is my wardrobe, bathroom and bedroom overhaul...

I spent ridiculous amount of time yesterday just picking out a table lamp
When I set my mind to creating drastic changes, it is going to be d-r-a-s-t-i-c! I am stubborn in that sense and always push myself to achieve something that seemed unachievable a while back. It's amazing what one can do when you put your mind to it. So my darlings, I say just go for it... what's the worst that can happen, fail! So what, then just try again or better yet...try something new!
With Chloé….
Hello Darlings,
I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend!!! It is absolutely stunning in Toronto, the weather is perfection
I am taking as much time as I can to get away to the park with Johnny (my Cocker Spaniel) for couple of hours to read the latest book— Eat, Pray, Love.
For the past couple of weeks, I've been reading non-stop and now onto my third book of the summer.I've always been an avid reader and tend to read whenever I have a free minute. Any suggesting as to what my next book should be!!!
I just finished reading Karen Essex's Stealing Athena must say that if you're into art history or architecture this is a must read. I will do a separate post on my latest reading adventures as I have picked up some awesome fashion reads as well!
My favorite passage of the week from Eat, Pray, Love: " To find balance you.... must keep your feet grounded so firmly on the earth that it's like you have four legs, instead of two. That way, you can stay in the world. But you must stop looking at the world through your head. You must look through your heart, instead."
