Stuck in a puddle…

It has been raining for the past three days and I’ve been living in my Kors duck boots. Despite the fact that they are not average boots but rather somewhat unique and so would even say “ugly”. I will stand by them and say that they are one of the most comfortable, warm and functional pairs of shoes that I own. It is not necessarily the prettiest shoe out there, but definite one of my favorite for the past two years.

Ace it…

Hello Darlings,

First of all, I would like to say THANK YOU for your warm messages, it really touched me and placed a smile on my face Thank you for being so sweet! You are the greatest!

I got art-y with Microsoft Paint... P.S. The box is filled with cupcakes.

Well, I am still in pain but refuse to feel down!Actually, I am in more pain now then I was after the accident. BUT there are always going to be hard times however life goes on and you must too!!! Although I have exams in a week and a million doctors to see, I am very excited for this holiday season. Yesterday, my mommy took me on a little shopping spree to raise my spirits! Although we spent only an hour or so, it was exactly what I needed...followed by a coffee run with Andrew.

I am so thankful to have such a supportive family, boyfriend, best-ie and of course, you guys!

Anyways, moving on.....no more mopping around.

Formula that always works…

Hello Darlings,

Some things just need to stay simple...when I am overwhelmed with school, the last thing I need is extra worrying about what to wear. Although it would be a miracle if I could wake up and know exactly what to wear instead of walking into my closet...making a complete mess, sort out a million things on my bed and always end up late, in a rush and somewhat dissatisfied with what I wore. I always have a feeling that I know exactly what I want to wear but as soon as I step into that closet... I am overwhelmed! With a walk-in full of clothes ... It feels like I don't have anything to wear?!!!???? It drives me nuts!!!!

I know ladies that many of you feel this way in the mornings as well....so what is your secret or that perfect thing that you always reach for in such cases??? You know, the formula that always work????

I am wearing:Club Monaco tee (underneath); Soia&Kyo Charlie Jacket; Corpus Skinnies; Ed Hardy Scarf; Pedro Garcia Mary Janes; Gap Leather Purse; Pearl Earrings; Diamond Ring courtesy Ice.com Jewelers; Chanel Sunglasses.

For me that formula is simple.... skinny jeans, simple tee, cute jacket, scarf, heel/flats., sunglasses.It is always a variety of the sameness. To a certain degree awesome, since I know it works but at the same time I feel bored... knowing that I can always resort to my safe bet. Plus, these new babies are becoming my absolutely favorites and I don't seem to be willing to take them off... they are soooooo comfortable it still amazes me

However, I have a plan of action:

- Re-organize my closet..and make a post on it( yup, I will have a post coming up talking about different ways I organize my walk-in as a few of you have requested)
- Draw some inspiration from my favorite Fall 09 fashion shows and random sources.
- Settle down with school work and prevent it from overwhelming me. First weeks are the hardest, always.
- Go shopping with mommy!
- Remember: Breeze and Relax!!!

Well, I am off to read....

Gallery Hopping…

Hello Lovelies,

I am proud to announce that I have finally bought my Art Gallery of Ontario membership and payed a visit on Sunday morning to check out Boucher's Les Sabots for my critique. The gallery was recently re-done by the famous Frank Gehry and I must admit it is quite impressive. In some ways it resembles Frank Lloyd Wright's Guggenheim Museum... it must be that spiral staircase( lol) in others it has that Guggenheim, Bilbao futuristic feeling.

I can't wait to take the architectural tour.... so exciting !!! and every other tour that they offer and buy up all of their catalogs.

Conservative with a twist

As for my outfit it was comfortable and conservative, but I did try something different with my hair...

I really loved what they did with the hair at Carolina Herrera (spring 09) and decided to try it myself but by adding a girly twist - a ponytail, instead of tucking away my hair. It is comfortable and neat, and would definately work perfectly in the summer when it is humid.

I am wearing: Soia & Kyo jacket; Ralph Lauren Top; French Connection Trousers; Michael Kors Oxfords; Accessories &Beyond Bracelets in Gold.

Seriously, if you need a quick get away to spend some time alone and just contemplate about all things beautiful or whatever just pay your local gallery a visit... you'll be surprised as to how awesome you will feel after. For me, this trip definitely reinforced my passion for art and architecture in ways that I never expected...I just hope that my future allows me to continue to discover and work in such wonderful environment.

As for now, I am off to work on my critique...

Shades of Black & Grey

When it comes to dressing.... I've come to realize that I fell the most comfortable in neutrals or pastels and usually don't to wear bright or loud colors(maybe during the summer)... Basically, minimalistic look is very appealing to me. I'm not sure if it is a phase or I have finally come to establish my personal style. Not sure, since I change my mind often but never when it comes to colors.... I love black,grey,white and beige.

I believe that color is not the only way to make an outfit exciting...although colorful accessories can make a dull outfit look fun.
Playing with textures and materials can make an outfit interesting and exciting.

To me, nothing is as important as paying attention to DETAILS... details is what matters ( to me). And this, I get from my mom.

Details such as proper fit, neat stitching, no stains/rips,clean and wrinkle-free ( I am always surprised to see how many people wear ripped or stained white tees).... Paying close attention to tiniest details makes an outfit look organized and neat.

Speaking of details,
My biggest fashion pet peeve is dirty shoes ( I understand salt stains, in the winter) -I mean, why would anyone want to "hurt" their shoes in such a way( by not cleaning themlol). Personally, I love and cherish my shoes like treasure and want to keep them looking new forever and ever,lol.

I Love: Wearing bracellets/cuffs over simple cashmere gloves... just to add some interest to a winter outfit. It looks cute... just keep it simple.

As well, I've always loved matching my gloves to my purse...lol.Weird?

Exciting: Today was very exciting for me, I finally purchased something that I've been looking for since the fall and it is definately one of my biggest buys of this year.... I can't wait to it share with you. I am really excited about this purchase. Any guesses as to what it is?

P.S. Thank you for your comments on the T by by Alexander Wang... I was just curious to find out others opinions. Although, I agree that the price is steep, I must admit that I am not that impresses with the collection - the dresses remind me of night gowns, but I guess it all depends on the fit. But I am curious to find out, if the quality and fit is what makes these item expensive, since the materials are "not my favorite" nor are the items original in cuts.Hhhhmmmm......

Disco Pants….

Hello Darlings,

Well...it definitely seems like there's no time for me to be sick. The fever is finally gone and although I am still slightly sick...I've been all around the place, running last minute errands and x-mas shopping, lol. Since, the vacation is just around the corner and x-mas is day away.... Although it is a time of giving... I decided to go ahead and Give... myself a gift, lol...

DISCO TIME - lol

I've been obsessing over the latex/wet looking tights and couldn't find a pair and leggings were out of question .... I refuse to wear leggings, only because I feel naked and because I never really had the need to wear them .... They work beautifully for others but just not for me.

So, the moment I saw American Apparel Disco pants - I was in love. Although they are not latex, they do give the same effect.... I also picked up a this sweater dress... yes, it's a dress, but it also works like a sweater. Well, these pants are definately "naked pants" so I balanced out my nakedness with a chunky knit .... just to make myself feel more comfortable,lol....

Twilight Update and my trip to Chapters to pick up the last two books of the Twilight Saga. I also hope that Santa brings me Twilight collectors edition .... or I will just have to play Santa myself and get one.... So, please Santa.

Well, I finished reading the New Moon and now I am realllllly excited for the movie to come out. I really did enjoy that the entire book is not just a love story but also the adventure. However, I did miss a fact that Edward wasn't there.... haha. I think it would really interesting if Stephanie Meyer was to release a book or two or three,lol.... that would be told from Edwards perspective.I know that she was working on one, " Midnight Sun" until it was leaked on internet... You can read the story and response from the author here ( just click...) I am on the first pages of Eclipse and can't wait to have the time to just sit down ... and read, read and read.

Well... off I go, I have yet to wrap the present and finish re-organizing my closet and finding all of my summer stuff... UGGHHH!!!

As the Christmas is just around the corner... I wish you all HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!

Twilight, New Moon … and Snow Day .

Hello Darlings,

Well I am lying in my bed sick and with fever but I missed blogging tooooooo much....since my headache is more bearable today I decide to make this post and to proudly announce that I'm almost done reading the New Moon ( 2nd Twilight book)....So here are my thoughts:

I am in LOVE WITH THE BOOKS.... and just wanted to thank you for encouraging me to read them. I must agree that the movie did not do the book any justice at all and the characters were misrepresented. The books are much more than I ever expected....I read the Twilight in a day and I am almost done reading The New Moon... meaning that it took me only two days to complete the books. The writing is absolutely beautiful and very visual - definately something that is rare in" teen books". Yup, I found this book located at the " teenage" section and was a little thrown off... but once I started to read, I realized that this book has soo many interpretation and ways to be understood that even if I was to sit down and re-read it ten years from now... my experience would be completely different. The characters are amazing .... when they say that the authors bring them to life in their novels,this novel goes beyond that. It is hard to explain, but the experience is phenomenal .... and just can't wait to go back to reading .... I am almost nervous to finish reading all four because what then .... I am reallly eager to go back to reading the New Moon ... I am on the part where Bella just jumped off the clif and Jacob found her ... so I am eager to find out how this book will end and I can't wait to have Edward back. Seriously, THESE BOOKS ARE INCREDIBLE ..... I would definately recommended reading them. I don't want to write a ten page essay on how much I love them... but will definately be talking about them for a while ....

All I can say is that ... If Love can be read about and understood... then Twilight does just that.

IT IS - 20 OUTSIDE

Well, now on to the outfit.... It's snowing non stop and it's about -20 degrees outside. On Friday, Andrew and I decided to catch and movie since I wasn't feeling too sick .... and here's what I wore:
For those cold winter days, I have cold winter gear ... which is a thick knit sweater with a warm jacket... and here's my another secret, I wear ski socks under my boots to stay warm. My feet stay toasty warm and I can wear any kind of boots I want...heheh
