Fall is my favorite season so I try to get out as much as possible and engage in innocent fun such as spending my afternoon in the park walking Johnny ( my doggies name) ... Canadian autumn can be magical.

So here it is 7 quirks / random facts about myself:
1. I have a nail phobia... They always must be done... It's really big paranoia to extent that some people find it weird...
2. I start every shopping trip with a Godiva Dark Chocolate Decadence...
3. I have a bubble bath every night... or I won't fall asleep.
4. I will never buy polyester... I'm paranoid of the material.
5. I hate brown and black colour combination - a strong dislike.
6. I never wear red ... clothing, lips, nail polish,etc.
 

7. I had my first burger two months ago... and I am 20 years old.

Romancing the Plaid…

Hello Darlings.... As I've mentioned before, I'm obsessed with plaid.... Who would have thought? Well, although I love the hard, grungy look that you achieve by wearing plaid work shirt ... I will admit that I love famine plaid, even more.... It has a very understate sex appeal.

Post-Impressionist Boredom ….

Hello Darlings, It's been a long week and a longer weekend bombarded with school work .... even right this moment, I am reviewing my Post - Impressionist notes.... kill me now,lol.... As my stress levels rise so do my spending, and here's my theory
STRESS + SHOPPING = MORE STRESS
and this is why, shopping gives me lots of joy but realizing that you spent around a grand this month is when you feel even more stresses out and realize that this is a never ending circle .... oooh well... Although I realize that most of the people out there love to shop, but to what extent? Is it just a for fun or is it really an addiction? I decided to do a little research and check out some of the facts that I found:
Lets get the facts straight
  • Compulsive buying can be though of as a chronic tendency to purchase products far in excess of a person's needs and resources.
  • Part of the problem, experts say, is that compulsive shopping is often viewed favorably rather than being treated as a problem.
  • An average of nearly 6% of the U.S. population fits the compulsive-buyer build.
  • The spending problem afflicts men and women at the about the same rate.
  • Like other addictions, shopping fills some kind of a void. In the past research, marketing professor Edwards found that compulsive buyers all had certain personality types, such as low self-esteem, a tendency towards fantasizing and to be vulnerable to depression and high anxiety.
I think that a little shopping here and there as a "pick me up" is a sign of a developing addiction...but I still like to believe that I can control myself and still shop with reason/logic.
So here's my question to you:
  • DO YOU THINK THAT YOU ARE A SHOPAHOLIC?
  • IF SO, DO YOU HAVE WAYS/METHODS TO CONTROL YOUR SPENDING?
  • IF YOU'RE NOT A SHOP-ADDICT THEN WHAT WOULD YOU RECOMMEND TO THOSE WHO ARE?
FEEDING MY " NASTY LITTLE HABIT"
Now on a more positive note.... My goodies have arrived in the mail and I also picked up a few things in between, including a beautiful pair of Juicy boots .... here's a little peak, on a side note... these were planned purchases....Justified? Maybe , lol

The hockey season finally began and I got a chance to catch one of the first games this Friday: Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Pittsburg Penguins....I love going to the hockey games....the game, the spirit, the cheering ,and the booze...lol always lots of fun :)

I tried to keep it really casual but cute. I really didn't want to be that girl wearing stilettos to a hockey game...which is very common, not sure why... WOULD YOU WEAR STILETTOS TO A SPORTS EVENT?
Earlier that day I had a meeting with couple of profs. and decided to sometimes more professional by pairing a pair of wide leg trousers...I definately love that this cardigan is very versatile. I adore it

Hello Darlings, Not since 50s, when fashion was all about prim and proper, have women embraced gloves as part of their wardrobe, along with the pump, the structured handbag, and the hat. Instead, gloves have been considered just a winter necessity only in the winter, as a last resort to prevent frostbite. Well, that is NOT the case for me .....
I LOVE GLOVES.
Not because my mommy said that every lady needs a pair of gloves but because I love them. Like most of the " can't live without" accessories ( shoes, bags, belts) they can change the feel of the entire outfit and nothing says classic elegance and chic like wearing a pair of beautiful gloves. Here's a little guide that I find very useful :)

Yea, right .... well, just a little bit. Lately, I've been loving the preppy look but with a a touch of personality :) I decided to bring back my Abercrombie shirts from back when I used to work there.... ( it was my first "real" job" and I quit in two month because the Abercrombie clones began to scare me,lol). So, here's what I wore for yesterdays class :)
