Hello Darlings,
Not since 50s, when fashion was all about prim and proper, have women embraced gloves as part of their wardrobe, along with the pump, the structured handbag, and the hat. Instead, gloves have been considered just a winter necessity only in the winter, as a last resort to prevent frostbite.
Well, that is NOT the case for me …..
I LOVE GLOVES.
Not because my mommy said that every lady needs a pair of gloves but because I love them. Like most of the ” can’t live without” accessories ( shoes, bags, belts) they can change the feel of the entire outfit and nothing says classic elegance and chic like wearing a pair of beautiful gloves.

Lately, I’ve been loving the preppy look but with a a touch of personality
I decided to bring back my Abercrombie shirts from back when I used to work there…. ( it was my first “real” job” and I quit in two month because the Abercrombie clones began to scare me,lol).
So, here’s what I wore for yesterdays class

I must say that I only started liking gloves because of Karl Lagerfeld. I normally never wear them, I have gorgeous gloves that my mom has given me over the years [fur, leather, cloth, mittens, everything!] and I simply can’t wear them. No matter how cold, they just don’t work for me. I never shoot with gloves on even when it’s below freezing. I do enjoy looking at gloves though, perhaps someday I’ll actually put my collection to use.

I wish I lived in a cold place so I could wear gloves.. I love em all.. Especially the fingerless ones (though they probably don’t serve any real purpose)
I also have a little “glove addiction”….haha…I think I have a green leather moschino pair that MY mama got me

i am with you completely! i looove gloves. unfortunately i couldn’t find any good ones this past winter. there is no “official” glove store, just bits and pieces lying around everywhere.

i agree aswell. i have a soft spot for the preppy look. i am not one for clean cut though and could never pull it off. my oxford shirt does get a lot of wear but in no way do i look as gorgeously neat as you.

Actually I could not find it…but thats ok..because i’ve done more than enough shopping this month :s…which reminds me, this weekend is the clothing show at the Ex ($10 to get in)..im prob going Sunday…you should go

I like the blazer too, and with the Minnetonkas it’s very personalized.
I think my gloves this year’ll be beige, probably softish wool. If I even get gloves. I don’t need them too much here.

I LOVE those gloves!!! I am totally with you on the gloves front, I have an addiction…velvet inky green, brown driving, faux fur mittens, red leather, purple leather, black wool, yellow wool….I love them all!
It’s too hot in Southern California to wear gloves =( It’s ridiculous weather here still hitting 100 degrees and over each day!

I’d really love a pair of demi gloves and mesh biker gloves. I saw these amazing mesh biker gloves in a DKNY campaign once and haven’t been able to get them out of my head since, I can’t seem to find any like those anywhere though.
