My highlighter bright Pretty Ballerinas Rita flats arrived and I am head-over-heels in love with them. Typically I am someone who avoids loud colors, but for these I will make an exception.
I spent many years dancing ballet, so wearing them feels natural. And they are a pretty alternative to wearing heels on days when a lot of walking is on the agenda. All I need is a tutu and I'm ready for the Swan Lake, lol.

To some flats ruin an outfit, and to others they are just plain dull. To me, the right flat can look irresistibly adorable and chic. I love wearing them during the warmer seasons, usually instead of sandals.

How do you feel about ballerinas???
Love or hate them?

I am wearing:
Mackage Leane Leather Jacket

It is amazing. Not only does it contain SPF, but it also prevents my face from getting oily throughout the day. Before this I used Smashbox or Chanel Primer, but I love this soooo much more and it is much cheaper. I am not a big fan of MAC but this is a great product.

Perfect for summer. It is not as oily as the Ultra Facial Moisturizer, but still very moisturizing. Worth trying if your skin is more oily in the summer.
My love for heels needs to suffer for a bit. Yup, since I am tired and distracted High Heels Cause a Serious Threat to MY WELL BEING like tripping and breaking something. So for now I will spend my days in my new Coach Barrett sneakers :)
I just picked up a new pair of Coach Barrett sneakers. I got my first pair 2 years ago and they still look perfect. Just throw them in a washing machine and voila they are like new... This time I chose a colorful pair, which is perfect for the summer. They are soo cute and girly.
I am wearing:
Ralph Lauren Top
Abercrombie & Fitch Madison Jeans
I also bought this pair of Abercrombie & Fitch Madison jeans. Although I like their clothes, I hate their service and the image they portray (I used to work there, and had to sign an appearance contract, how funny is that?). So I say no to their marketing team but thumbs up to their designers :)
Notice my make up, I'm actually wearing color (lol), my Chanel lavender eyeshadow and YSL matte lipstick...not too much, I hate wearing too much make up during the day.
Hello Darlings,
Here's my second part on Spring Summer Trends for 2009. This time is all about tops: blouses, shirts, tees, tanks... as were seen on the runways of some of my favorite designers.
Sheer
Exaggerated Shoulders
Prints
Bare Midriff
One Shoulder
The evening wear trend this season. Try this in a relaxed and romantic fit with new colors (ex. nudes). Lanvin explored this trend in variety of silhouettes - incredible collection, definitely one of my favorites. I adore this trend and have been wearing it for a while... It is sexy in subtle way. Try it.
Ruffles
Ruffles can be a big no no when overdone. If done in a tasteful manner they are charming and feminine. I am definitely going for this trend...only because I've always loved ruffles, especially when paired with masculine pieces.
With Love... Marta
Hello Darlings,
Well, I went through every spring fashion show on style.com and chose some of my favorite trends and looks - from pants, to skirt, to dresses, to top, shoes, and accessories - from which I will definitely draw my inspiration. Subtlety was a signature look this season, with styles that showcased beautiful hues, colors, and patterns.
Nudes
Nudes played a key role on the spring '09 runways. The trend is subtle and sexy, but only when it is not over done. Meaning, if you are going to be wearing head to toe nude, well then you better cover some skin.Whites
White has always been a summer color, since it is light and breezy.
Just be sure to have a Tide Pen to avoid embarrassing situations.
Neutrals
Well, we all love neutrals, because they are just perfect, well at least to me :)
Pastels
Simply beautiful... I love pastel colors, they are so girly and feminine.
Blues
Blue, although not my favorite color, it is all over the runways in different shades.
Metallics
Perfect for going out....
Sherbets Perfect summer colors... bright and loud. ( I am so obsessed with that highlighter pink Berardi dress)
Stripes
I am not sure when they are not in style...
but I am sure loving a fact that they are so in this season.
Prints
Artsy, geometrical,floral...in beautiful bright colors.
I am so in love with Cavalli floral china-like print - so unique.
Sheers
Although, not a color... sheer is in, mostly in subtle neutral colors. It is definitely one of those trends that are difficult to pull off and is usually done wrong, but when it is done in a proper way then it looks absolutely amazing.
