One of the most visible and best accessories a women has is the man by her side! And while I would never go so far as saying a woman should dress her man, there are some basic fashion and beauty issues that a woman can address to be sure her man is looking his best.

On the topic of fashion, start with the shoes! One of my biggest pet peeves on a man are running shoes for everyday wear. Why? Is he concerned about being chased by a mugger? Guys typically wear the same pair of shoes every day for a whole season, so one of the best things you can do to style-up your man is to help him buy a pair of shoes.

Waking up to sad news this morning that famous Hollywood movie director Tony Scott apparently committed suicide yesterday in Los Angeles, California. He was 68 years old, and had achieved considerable success in the film industry directing hit movies including two hugely popular films starring Tom Cruise - Top Gun and Days of Thunder. According to police, Tony Scott jumped off the Vincent Thomas Bridge in suburban Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon. His black Prius car was parked nearby, and apparently a suicide note was found in the car.

No one just wakes up one day, and jumps off a bridge killing themselves. Such news is tragic, and it is very sad to think of the impact this will have on his family and friends. Clearly there is much more to the story, which is maybe the most important legacy that Tony Scott could leave behind - awareness of the negative effects of depression - and treatment options that can help save lives and the enormous collateral damage caused by severe depression!

Love love this interview that Robert Pattinson did last night on The Daily Show (watch here!) with Jon Stewart. Obviously embarrassed by his messy break-up with Kristen Stewart, not only did he suck it up and get back to work facing the media to promote the opening of his new movie Cosmopolis in New York, he did so with a positive and charming attitude.

As the saying goes "don't cry over spilt milk", but if ever there was a good case for a little self pity Robert Pattinson was deserving. He literally had a cow tipped over on him considering he's one of the world's top A-list celebrities, and almost every magazine, newspaper, and entertainment tv show reports daily on how he was cheated on.

"Sex appeal is fifty percent what you've got and fifty percent what people think you've got," once said the sex-symbol that is Sophia Loren.
