Alice & Olivia Sequin Top
Hello Darlings,
I am excited to show my two new purchases. The first is a leather jacket from Canadian designer Mackage. The second is a “going out” top, which is a sequin top from Alice & Olivia.
This is my first leather jacket, and it was a struggle to find one that fit my style. Mackage is a Canadian brand, and I am convinced that Canadians make the best jackets because of our brutal winters. It’s not only about looking awesome but also preventing frost bite…
I did not want the “grunge look”, instead personalizing this trend rather than following it. The simple, feminine and detailed Mackage Leane leather jacket fit my style, and I sized up from XXS to S.
The jacket is classic but contemporary. The leather is durable, yet buttery soft. Mackage quality is excellent, and as they say, their products are ” detailed to perfection”.

My second purchase was this sheer sequin Alice & Olivia top. I like how it can be worn going out for that subtle sexy look or pair it wish my cashmere cardi for an everyday look with a little sparkle.
I am wearing:
Mackage Leane Leather Jacket
J Brand Mid Rise 12″ Leg in Black
Juicy Couture Leather Boots
Accessories & Beyond Elastic Bracelet Set in Black & Gold
I wish you all a lovely Monday !!!!
Marta

love the whole outfit
i would invest a shoes!!!
I just adore your outfit.
The Alive & Olivia top is so beautiful. I agree with you when it comes to leather jackets. For a while I have loved the thought of them, but it seemed everybody had the same style - the bomber jacket. I have been looking everywhere for the perfect leather jacket that is also very feminine. In the end my boyfriend surprised me with one from Zara - it is not your typical bomber jacket as well - i was thrilled! It has a very detailed yet feminine collar that i just adore.
I think both shoes and purses are worth investing in - especially if you love something so much- when you wear it you feel so much more special. My last investment was a Prada purse, very simple and classic but i absolutely love it.
Once again, beautiful blog
Have a lovely day
Bisous
Leather jacket is definitely a must and I love the one you’ve chosen. So cute rocker!
fantastic look
so beautiful, I adore it.
good luck with your exams, I’m glad my course is assignment based!
I love the jacket! I actually think any staple (including a great fitting leather jacket) is a good investment. Great fitting jeans, an everyday bag, boots, anything that you want to keep in your closet forever!
great jacket- i love the length!
i would never invest in a purse because i always destroy them. i overload them and strain the straps and wear them out like crazy.
You make the leather jacket look extremely elegant. For an investment I’d have to go with a purse (a Balenciaga bag for example). I know I’d be able to get use of it for many many years.
i’m in love with your leather jacket!
Crap - I left a long comment and it erased it.
First off, I love the jacket and love that it’s Canadian made. We do have great leather and I love how feminine this jacket is.
I think it is a true investment because leather jackets are classic and can last a lifetime.
Personally FOR ME, shoes that look great and are comfy are an investment. I have problem feet, so I have dealt with the problem of finding comfy and fashionable shoes all my life. When I find a pair that makes me forget that I am different from everyone and that I am disabled, then I (and my family) know it is worth any cost.
If I wasn’t disabled, I don’t think shoes would be a great investment. Maybe boots, if you took care of them really really well but shoes just get so much wear and tear.
Bags on the other hand can last forever and you can use it all the time. If I had to choose anything as an investment, it would be a really nice, sturdy handbag.
BTW you must share your secrets on how you can buy so many fab designer clothes on a student budget! I was living off Forever 21 and Wal-Mart when I was in University lol.
the jacket is trop belle!
and the first shot from jak n jill is like heaven, or my mecca
*bisous*
I agree with you.
I love the leather jacket trend, but it’s hard to find one that doesn’t look the exact same as everyone else. but yours is stunning.
and that shirt is TO DIE FOR. I need it in my closet, RIGHT NOW. Seriously.
Or how to decline “GLAM Rock” on such a shiny way !!!
ps: Your leather boots’ zippers are “fetishistically” mesmerizing, very “Biker CHIC-issime Mistress” . . .
à Bientôt, Antoine
I love shoes and your style tres chic!
Love Iole
"But I realized that when you know exactly what you want….it is usually impossible to find."
ugh, so true, unfortunately .
but that jacket is gorgeous !
& you're right about canadian brands ;]

I think a good leather jacket will be with you forever so its a great investment. It is seasonless and outlasts all trends. I love shoes and bags so that is where I am most likely to splurge, if I have the money.

GORGEOUS JACKET!
I think the last large investment I made was the Hermes Collier de chien Cuff. I’m still very much in love with it…unfortunately with the way the economy is looking another large investment for me would not be so wise.
who buys you all this stuff? just wondering how a student can afford this.
love the leather jacket.. its beautiful and definitely an investment
I love that jacket on you! hehe….ive been secretly dying to see you in a leather jacket
…and mackage makes really great peices..I worked at Browns and ohhhh how I miss that 50% off discount right about now!
I love Mackage; I have two of their long winter wool coats and they were well worth the investment! FYI: S&K is the younger sister brand to Mackage (I believe the younger sibling of one of the designers of Mackage heads up S&K). So if you're wondering why you love both brands so much, that's the reason!
RE: investment purchase, I think an investment purse/handbag is the better option. I recently purchased my first investment handbag (Prada Soft Calf Tote in black). Even though I cringe at the price, it was well worth it. I can wear it with anything and it isn't too "trendy" looking, so it won't go out of style in a year's time. IMO, the ultimate investment handbag purchase is the Hermes Birkin, but that's a whole other can of worms!
Happy shopping!

that’s all =]
xxxx
The jacket is absolutely gorgeous!
Great blog!
I would invest in a bag. My latest investment was a new Louis Vuitton
nice jacket & i love the boots you're wearing.
stunning! very nice purchase!
that jacket looks so beautiful and fits you perfectly. and omg, you have the most beautiful face ever.
i think if it’s going to be a big investment id go with a bag. there’s something about shoes touching the dingy ground that reduces it’s value the first time you wear it out.
love the boots and the jacket… i would say they are a pretty good investment…
oh that jacket looks fantastic!! i’d say go for the purse.. i tend to ruin shoes way too quickly!
I love the combination of the jacket with that top. And for the investment, it depends. For a really expensive investment I’d go for the most classiest one. Or it must be so stunning…
rodarte, right?
yes! (:
:O All those heeeeeeeeeeeels!!! Haha, and I love the new jacket and that sequined top
I always think shoes and bags are good investment pieces, as are coats, you pretty much wear them everyday. But I guess it depends, you can invest in one piece of each clothing, so one pair of amazing jeans, or one amazing shirt etc.
do you even have a job to pay for these things?

Hi,
Ummm…. I am a full time student and I actually do have a job.I am not sure how to take your question, but if you really need to know… then, I must admit that my parents do help me out. I hope it answers your question and I wish you a wonderful day.
