Hello Darlings,

I am most comfortable in neutrals or pastels, and usually avoid bright or loud colors (except in summer). Not sure if this is a phase and I do change my mind often, but never when it comes to colors…. I love black, grey, white and beige.

But color is not the only way to make an outfit exciting. Colorful accessories can make a dull outfit look fun, but so can playing with textures and materials. To me, nothing is as important as paying attention to DETAILS…

Details mean something to me, such as proper fit, stitching, no stains / rips, clean and wrinkle-free (always surprising to see how many people wear ripped or stained white tees)…. Paying close attention to tiniest details makes an outfit look organized and neat.

Speaking of details: My biggest fashion faux pas is dirty shoes (salt stains in winter aside) - I mean, why would anyone want to “hurt” their shoes by not cleaning them. Personally, I cherish my shoes and want to keep them looking forever new.

I Love wearing bracelets /cuffs over simple cashmere gloves… to add some interest to a winter outfit. Also, I’ve always loved matching my gloves to my purse; do you think that’s strange?

I am wearing:
Language Los Angeles Tunic
American Apparel Disco Pants
Soia & Kyo Annisa - Z Wool Coat
Portolano Cashmere Gloves in Eggplant
Accessories & Beyond Elastic Bracelet Set in Black & Gold
Kimberly Baker Dove Necklace
Regina Italia Handmade Italian Leather Bag in Plum
Juicy Couture Leather Boots

And thanks for your comments on the T by by Alexander Wang. Although the price is steep, I am unimpressed with the collection - the dresses remind me of night gowns. And I am curious if the quality and fit is what makes them expensive, since the materials are “not my favorite” nor are the items original in cuts. Hhhhmmmm……

Tag: In my4th folder I found this 4th photo - it always reminds me of ballet backstage. It must be the dresses that look like tutu

A huge thanks to Anthea from Clothes Line Finds for an amazing tag….

Also, thanks to Alissa from mmm, maryjane (click to check it out) for featuring me :)

    I HATE SALT STAINS.

I have two pairs of boots that have salt stains on them, and I just can’t even wear them anymore, even thought they are beautiful.

I bought a pair of really soft brown leather boots this year, with two antique buckles clasped over folded leather. (I am terrible and describing things) So I have taken very good care of those, I treat them almost every week, because I’m terrified that they will get hurt. :(

Loved the outfit, by the way.

hm…can it be a designer shoe? louboutin?

  11. Wanderlusting says:

Hmmm. I’m bad at guessing…a Chanel bag?

Those boots are fabulous, they look almost velvet like in the photos.

I don’t have enough gloves to match them to my bags but I do try to match gloves to a hat or scarf. Or I do matching colours of shoes and bag. Or tights and shoes. Or shoes and coat. As long as two similar colours are in my look, I feel anchored :)

  12. Becca Jane says:

I love the leggings and the boots. Lovely.

And that photo of the rodarte ballerinas - amazing.

I’m loving those boots! I agree with you on keeping the shoes clean. Too many people are walkin around in stained boots and uggs. It’s too painful to watch!

  22. As a painter-& ‘just another dude’-clean n lean is good-you’re right; & it’s right on for you & I would presume the way you lay a room out or design….CLEAN LINES. So I see portrait/figure paintable “stuff”….& the knuckle dragging “dude” part sees-(pretty/sexy)
