Hello Darlings,

Vegas was AMAZING… So much to do, so much to see… it was actually overwhelming and deciding what to wear every day and night was even more difficult. Overall, I had the time of my life while trying to stay cool and relaxed. I managed to avoid gambling, since I am not a firm supporter, neither is Andrew (luckily)!!!

Andrew and I stayed at the charming Paris Hotel and were very pleased with it…very beautiful and unique!!!

♥ My Birthday Celebration!!!!

My birthday consisted of a romantic dinner at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant, which has a beautiful view overlooking the Bellagio fountains, followed by dancing at VooDoo Lounge and XS nightclub (thanks to those who recommend it, it was perfect!!!)

I settled for a simple outfit that made me feel like a ballerina, nothing too over exposing but just perfect for me!!!

I am wearing: Wilfred nude bustier tee; Free People Ribbon Skirt;Be&D Antonia Pumps; Coach Wristlet; Diamond Studs, A.V.Max Cuff.
I did switch the shoes, since I was starting to feel pain wearing my Be&D patent leather shoes ( I find patent leather shoes always less comfortable) and settled for my new Perdo Gardia’s.

Vegas Exploring!

On the first day that we arrived, it was all about exploring and familiarizing ourselves with the area and the shopping scene. We also had a chance to check out “Warhol and friends” exhibit at the Bellagio and although it was small the pieces were well selected to represent his period.

In terms of shopping, I mostly stayed away except stopping by the Chanel store to pick up some make up and to buy myself a floppy hat at some random hat store (I’ll show it in the second part of my Vegas posts).

As for the outfit, I stayed comfortable with a classic black and white combination… I mostly stayed away from looking too casual.

I am wearing: Susana Monaco Top; Talula Shorts; Bloch Patent Leather Flats; Chanel Sunglasses; Gustto Cokera Purse; A.V. Max Cuff; Diamond Studs.

Road Trip to Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam!

My favorite part of the Las Vegas trip was the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam…. It is one of those life long memories that are always a joy to look back on :)

Andrew and I rented a highlander and ventured out on a 5 hour drive down the deserts of Nevada and Arizona… the drive was so beautiful. I’ve never enjoyed being in a car as much as this, it was breathtaking. It even rained in the desert which was probably one of the coolest experiences ever!

If I could recommend one thing to do - this would be it, or travel to the Grand Canyon as a separate vacation… which I am hoping to do sometime ( go hiking, camping and rock climbing in the canyon)!

As for the outfit, I settled for a loose long sleeve top, mainly so that my shoulders wouldn’t burn. Denim shorts and my oxfords… simple and easy! No fuss! I also chose to tie my hair back, it is impossible to have your hair looking great in such an environment without fixing it every hour or so and who needs that on a road trip. So for me it was a pony with a bow headband!

I am wearing:Wilfred top; Abercrombie&Fitch Shorts; Candela Tokyo Oxfords;Ray Ban Wayfarers; H&M Bow Headband.

The trip was perfect! I couldn’t have asked for more…well, driving back as the sun was setting over the desert was a cherry on top of a perfect day!

More pictures are coming up… I hardly had the time to sit back and enjoy an espresso! I did unpack my luggage which was rummaged through by United States Transportation Security Administration. Apparently my hair straightener and curler were suspicious :P (according to the letter found in my luggage). The locks were cut off and everything was a mess including my make-up kit… Who could have thought shoes and beauty supplies are a security threat? Did you hear that Chanel, Michael Kors and Conair… your products are dangerous! HAHAHAHA…. I am just kidding! I am all for being safe!!!

My university lectures start tomorrow and I am still tired and exhausted!!!

P.S. Darlings, bare with me…I promise that I will do my best to reply to all of the comments and e-mails as soon as I can!!! Pretty Thank You!!!

I wish you all a beautiful day!!!
With Love…
Marta

I really like the exquisite "neo romantic BOMBnextDoor" vibrancy of your Birthday Celebration's oufit . . . Mmmh OR how to ideally reflect your "inner stylish Soul" (Oooooh YES, I really like the so delicate art of "GLAM Forecasts" !!!) ?

    à Bientôt, Antoine

Lol, shoes as a security threat. I can imagine stilettos as threats though, hehe.

I think it's HILARIOUS that you think your b-day outfit is not too "exposed". So what WOULD be exposed to you???? There is not much left to take off? Maybe topless?

I used to think you where such a classy girl, i'm starting to change my mind.

Sher: I picked up some powder and mascara. Just the essentials that I love from them :)

Well, for a night club in Vegas…it is a bit of a different story. It's fine if you don't like it, but to insult anonymously is always the easiest thing to do. Thank you for the honest opinion :)

You Do look classy (and pretty) compared to the majority of the hooker-ish polyester neon dress/shirts that most women wear in Vegas! :)

  18. Misha says:

I really love the skirt that you wore for your birthday. And anyone who thinks that she is in anyway "unclassy" definatly has never been to a club before. I mean, some girls wear tank tops as dresses.

  19. Join the Gossip says:

WOW you are an amazing photog! How did I never notice that?! Sounds like you had a blast!!

My family has land out by the Grand Canyon and Hover Dam, we go out on that lake all the time (I'm going next week in fact =). I think that since I have grown up going there I take it for advantage. Sadly, I hate the desert! I do love it during thunderstorms though. Maybe after reading this post I will pay more attention to the beauty of it all =)

Darling, you are beautiful and you have a right to dress however you want. I am sorry for whoever wrote those hurtful comments and I can only suggest that you ignore them and know that those who write mean things are usually just jealous! I always learned that if you don't have anything nice to say, say nothing at all… and I don't know why others cannot live by that rule, too. I hope you feel better, sending lots of hugs your way! xx

    Hassle-Free Travel Tip:

You mentioned the TSA cut the locks off from your suitcase and it occurred to me that that was more than likely the reason why your bag was flagged as suspicious. It is actually not legal to put locks on any baggage entering or leaving the US anymore. Just be sure to keep all valuables with you in your carry-on luggage so you won't be worried about prying eyes. Also definitely keep the locks on hand to lock up your valuables in your suitcase once you get to the hotel. Happy travels in the future!

  23. Becca Jane says:

looks like an absolutely amazing trip. Can I just say too, that that black skirt is incredible! Love it!

  24. RSpunk says:

I don't understand. I only saw 2 negative post that was left. I get that you find it rude but when you open yourself up to the internet and your own blog you have to be able to handle every level or criticism that comes your way. Know who you are, what your about and continue what you love to do. Haters come and go so who really cares what they say.

  25. Katie says:

happy belated bday! those grand canyon pics don't even look real they're so beautiful! they look like fake backdrops :)

as always, love all of your outfits!
