Hello Darlings,

Some things just need to stay simple…when I am overwhelmed with school, the last thing I need is extra worrying about what to wear. Although it would be a miracle if I could wake up and know exactly what to wear instead of walking into my closet…making a complete mess, sort out a million things on my bed and always end up late, in a rush and somewhat dissatisfied with what I wore. I always have a feeling that I know exactly what I want to wear but as soon as I step into that closet… I am overwhelmed! With a walk-in full of clothes … It feels like I don’t have anything to wear?!!!???? It drives me nuts!!!!

I know ladies that many of you feel this way in the mornings as well….so what is your secret or that perfect thing that you always reach for in such cases??? You know, the formula that always work????

I am wearing:Club Monaco tee (underneath); Soia&Kyo Charlie Jacket; Corpus Skinnies; Ed Hardy Scarf; Pedro Garcia Mary Janes; Gap Leather Purse; Pearl Earrings; Diamond Ring courtesy Ice.com Jewelers; Chanel Sunglasses.

For me that formula is simple…. skinny jeans, simple tee, cute jacket, scarf, heel/flats., sunglasses. It is always a variety of the sameness. To a certain degree awesome, since I know it works but at the same time I feel bored… knowing that I can always resort to my safe bet. Plus, these new babies are becoming my absolutely favorites and I don’t seem to be willing to take them off… they are soooooo comfortable it still amazes me :)

However, I have a plan of action:

- Re-organize my closet..and make a post on it( yup, I will have a post coming up talking about different ways I organize my walk-in as a few of you have requested)
- Draw some inspiration from my favorite Fall 09 fashion shows and random sources.
- Settle down with school work and prevent it from overwhelming me. First weeks are the hardest, always.
- Go shopping with mommy!
- Remember: Breeze and Relax!!!

Well, I am off to read….

I wish you all a stunning day!!!

With Love…
Marta

That seems to have become my go to wardrobe plan as well. I try to change things up by adding interesting asymmetrical t-shirts, frilly but casual blouses, scarves, but you of course know these tricks my dear. I have just discovered your blog, and it is just wonderful. Thank you for the inspiration!

I think all ladies face that same problem, well I know I do:)

Your mary janes are so pretty!!

:) Just like you I often plan my outfit in my mind and then end up hating the finished look. :) But frankly, I like trying things a night before and leaving everything ready for the morning. This way I know I am going to be happy and won't spend an hour trying everything I've got and ending up with a pile of clothes on my bed. :) ))

I absolutely love this outfit! I think it's the scarf that does it for me, such a lovely addition of colour. Simply gorgeous. Coco would be proud of you, I think.

    Have a lovely day, darling!

Oh I totally agree with you, there are some mornings when I am off to a bad start and I try on tons of options and feel like I have nothing to wear, even though I do! It's frustrating!

I am also planning on reorganizing my closet, because we are getting ready to move, so I am getting rid of the clothes that I never actually wear, but are just taking up space! So hopefully that helps!

I used to have that feeling to, but I think I've got the system figured out (after a MAJOR closet purge. it was epic)
I have everything in a pretty cohesive color scheme aka everything matches everything else
I know that everything fits me perfectly, so I don't need to fuss with it
its all organized so I can see it, and pared down only to my "favorite" things.
as for those crazy mornings, I always just grab a statemtent/quirky piece that I'm feeling that morning, and put everything else on basic. Such as I was feeling my long black waist coat vest today, just pop it ontop of jeans and a t-shirt
yesterday I liked my crazy tribal print skirt, wear it with a t-shirt and flats. ect.
I realized I just wrote a novel :) but I've been thinking about the same thing for a while too.

    Ah lovellyy!!
Hmm and my go to would probably be a baby doll style dress & flats. or jeans + black tee + flats.
hmmm i heard somewhere that the person always starts with a pair of shoes and then works her outfit around the shoes, which i think is rather clever!

Marta, this is such a lovely outfit!
You look amazing ~ Soia & Kyo is such a great company - I really enjoy their designs.

I do have a bit of a formula when I'm stuck: tights/skinny jeans, blazer, and flats/heels. My favorite, though, is throwing on my fab. trench and flats.

I hope you have a beautiful day, as well :)

Oh, I completely understand you. The same drama replays each morning -.- But I'm really trying to get ready my outfit the night before when my mind is still clear.

To decide what I'm going to wear I begin to think about an item that I want into the outfit, sometimes a pair of shoes, the purse or jeans. Then I picture myself with those and fill the image, the most important is know how to start.

Usually I try to balance everything. I mean, if I'm wearing a silk tee I won't add a fancy skirt. But, of course, you know that ^^ It's just that I'm pretty a maniac of balance and proportions, and I can't stand when there's is too much (that's why I love your blog, you're just right in the middle).

I also have a couple outfits already "prepared" which fits me perfectly, so when I don't feel up to it they make feel good again. It always work.

By the way, sorry about my poor English, I'm from Spain and I still have to improve it :)

    xxoo

I have the same problem as you - too much choice! I really need to take a day and try on a whole slew of outfits and WRITE THEM DOWN! So I don't forget! On lazy, rushed days I usually grab a tank, cardigan and jeans - like today! :S

  18. Wanderlusting says:

PS thanks for your nice comment on my blog :) You are perfectly opnionated too, which is why I like you!

  19. Insomnia says:

I have the same problem! School has just started and I'm already freaking out again. The more clothes you have, the harder the choice. I eventually end up with something black, not hard with my closet.

  20. Becca Jane says:

Yes I do go to Western! and the style scene has not changed much since my last post.. haha

I do like this outfit a lot, and I too am often overwhelmed with what to choose in the mornings. I have taken tothe somewhat OCD habit of picking out my outfit the night before.. dorky, I know, but it keeps me from being late!
