Hello Darlings,
With warm weather comes a shopping spree for new skin care products. As my skin tends to change between colder and warmer seasons, I am always on a hunt for new skin care products. Despite following a strict rule of “less is more” when it comes to products, I am always looking for something new and better.
These are products that I have been using:
♥ La Roche-Posay Effaclar K daily renewal fluid for oily skin
Improves skin appearance and unclogs pores
Fantastic - the best find of the season, in terms of skin care
Recommended for combination /oily skin with imperfections or acne-prone
The formula is very light but moisturizing
♥ Eau Thermale Avene Soothing Eye Cream
My dermatologist is really against using unnecessary wrinkle eye cream before 30
I do agree and therefore stay away from them.
However, I have dry skin around my eyes and this cream is perfect for gentle moisturizing
I”ve been using this for 2 years and love it for moisturizing around my eyes
♥ Shiseido Ultra Sun Protection Cream SPF 50 for face
This cream is the best sun cream
I love the light texture, the chamomile smell and the fast absorbency
I think that everyone should use sunblock as part of their everyday routine
♥ Body Shop Brazil Hut Body Butter
Very rich formula perfect for dry areas such as feet, hands and elbows
I use this in winter as body moisturizer but in summer only for rough spots
Good for people with dry skin, otherwise this formula may be too thick
♥ Lush Handmade Cosmetics Obsession!
I am obsessed with their products!
All of the products are made of fresh organic fruit and vegetable
♥ Lush Bath Bombs
These bombs bring my favorite bubble bath to shame! They are fantastic and fun!
Relaxing, nourishing and just awesome!
♥ Lush Bubble Gum Lip Scrub
My lips tend to get dry and cracked, making it impossible to wear lipstick
This product tastes amazing and gently scrubs away dead skin
I use it obsessively all the time and then apply Rose Bud Salve
Fantastic lip scrub
♥ Lush Love Lettuce Mask
An excellent exfoliating mask for normal and oily skin

Body Shop’s body butters are my absolute favourite, and I always get one for Christmas in my stocking!! *happy sigh*
I’ve tried La Roche Posay sunscreen (albeit a sample) and I quite liked it!
When I get a chance to visit Sephora, I’m going to get the full-sized version.
The lip scrub sounds interesting!! I’ll definitely have to try it!

Ah I haven’t tried any of this! My skin care usually falls to drugstore brands, though Clinique is a face cream I’ll use even if I’m dirt poor! I use Clean & Clear products for my face, Biore night face cream, and whatever happens to be in my bathroom in terms of shower products. I do wear sunscreen when I’m outdoors; I’m probably the most reluctant lifeguard when it comes to the sun! I am going to have to try some of these products out though, they sound fantastic!
Anything from Lush basically makes my life so much better.
As for me, the most important summer must-have with regards to skin is effective and PLENTIFUL sunscreen. My pasty scottish and british forbears did me no favours with regards to the sun and its dastardly effects on my skin. Lots of SPF 30 or higher for this girl.
great post! Ive been meaning to try the shiseido sunscreen. Im currently sing the neutrogena dry touch and shisedo which are good but I feel soemtimes maybe it can be pore clogging if worn too often. Also I love the lush lip scrub -) its sooo yummy!the lush fresh masks are perfect for summer eso when stored int he fridge

I have lush magnaminty…I dont see a huge difference in my skin (then again, I dont really have bad skin to begin with) and I LOVE the minty chocolate tingly feeling I get from using it!
Just curious…why is your dermatologist so against using eye wrinkle cream?

He sees no need in anti-wrinkle creams when I don’t have the wrinkles. His suggestion is to use soothing or moisturizing light eye cream, but nothing with anti-wrinkle agents. I never really went into too much detail with him, I just trust his suggestions.
I love the Buffy bar from Lush! But you have to know that the first time I used it, it left a lot of residue EVERYWHERE in my shower, didn’t realize until the next day when I used it, so make sure you rinse. It leaves my skin really moisturized, but if you don’t like that feeling you shouldn’t get it. It’s to the point that when I rinse it off, water beads on my skin but it’s really soft after you dry off.

I like Lush products too.
I used to have Mask of Magnaminty. Unfortunately it expires within four months and since I bought the big jar, I had to throw half of it away. I have combination [temperamental] skin. I used the mask once or twice a week. The first few times were great - the mask was revitalizing and made my skin really glow. Then it started to dry my skin out. I wouldn’t buy it again but you should try it and see what it does for you.
I’m definitely going to try that Lettuce stuff : )

La Roche-Posay sunscreen broke me out when I tried it once.. I’m not sure if that was just a fluke time, but I have oily and acne-prone skin so I never tried again lol. Let me know if it works for you! But maybe I’ll give their renewal fluid a try… and the Lush mask! I’ve been thinking about getting one… never tried their products… and for lips I actually just rub my lips gently with my toothbrush after brushing my teeth, then apply Vaseline.. it’s worked pretty well for me

OOh no…. now I don’t want to try the sunscreen, I have acne-prone and oil skin as well. I’ll think about getting it, but I am not much of an risk-taker when it comes to skin care
I just discovered Lush, it is quite amazing. Since their produces can be pricey I look up reviews and one of my favorite youtubers, allthatglitter21, did a Lush review and said Buffy produces were very rough on her skin, just an fyi. I must admit I have never tried that particular product though.
