South Beach Miami: Sushi Samba

Hello Darlings,

I am absolutely in love with South Beach. The beach is a relaxing retreat from the buzz of Ocean Drive, and I love the variety of characters.

My day began on the beach with an attempt to read Lolita, which I began months ago. An hour later – and only one page read – my plans changed and I slipped on my teeny-tiny silk dress to seek out lunch on Lincoln Road.

Lincoln Road is an appealing shopping street – with cafes in the middle of the street – and the stores lining each side. With so many options I chose the familiar Sushi Samba. I’ve enjoyed it in New York and was happy this was one of my first cafe experiences in Miami.

Sushi Samba menu is Japanese and Latin fusion cuisine and played a starring role in one of my favorite Sex and the City episodes! Sushi Samba on Seventh Avenue in New York is the very place where Richard begs for Samantha’s forgiveness and braves a dirty martini in response. “Dirty martini, dirty bastard” (click to watch the clip) promptly responded Samantha to his cheating rendezvous.
