Fashion designers are notorious for creating impossible to wear, yet stunningly beautiful shoes. As stiletto’s grow higher and skinnier, and the designs stranger every every season, the question is HOW FAR WILL YOU GO FOR FASHION?
I am a lover of outrageous but ooh so beautiful heels, even if they are unwearable for almost any occasion.. and even if they are impossible to do what they are supposedly designed for (to actually walk in them)… Is this the definition of a “shoe whore”?
Ruthie Davis shoes are a WORK OF ART. Albeit a little expensive ($600-$800), I could not resist these. Although they are in a classic Mary Jane style, they come with several twists including pearlized patent leather with a 4.5″ architectural heel that is accented with Swarovski crystals and contains a chrome metal insert. Ruthie Davis designs are famous for architectural precision and sleek aesthetic sensibility. It is rare that I have an appropriate occasion to wear them, but I love the shoes so much and still obsess about them…

I LOVE those heels!!! And you dress looks fabulous! In regards to uncomfortable shoes, I think you can buy shoes you really really like, and they can be little uncomfortable. But there’s no point buying amazing shoes that kill your feet, because they’ll probably be for a special occasion, and all you’ll remember about that occasion was how much your feet hurt!

I love all the crazy shoes that we see on the runways but, like you, I don’t think I could ever wear them realistically. Seems like you found a great compromise though: those shoes are fantastic!
omg those shoes were a steal…I have a similar pair with crystals by mimosa but they are pointed stilettos….Yours are def more “wearable”. And your Nicole Miller dress is classic

I think shoes are definitely worth the pain!!! As long as they don’t make me sprain my ankle or anything! I love yours btw! & the whole outfit looks really put together! I lvoe it.
Beautiful shoes. I have a crazy pair of Frankenstein-like Ruthie Davis platform boots.
I can’t hurt my pretty feet for high heels. I’d rather get a great limited edition pair of sneakers or flats instead of heels. But you got a great deal on those, hopefully they are comfy, they look gorgeous.

what’s funny is that i just got my gladiator wedges (the heech i was obsessing over from Nine west) and i was pondering the EXACT thing: “how far would i go for fashion?” i was wearing them and noticed that after a while i can definitely feel i am wearing heels. i commend the other women who wear sky high heels on a daily basis. i save those for night out only though.
OMG! I have the same pair of Crystal Screen DAVIS by Ruthie Davis mary janes and I LOVE them!!! You look so hot in them! I also have them in white and put up a pic of me in them on my blog. I just am obsessed with DAVIS by Ruthie Davis shoes!
