In one of the more unique party settings, Marketing Magazine hosted an event on the set of the Breakfast Television morning show to announce their inaugural list of Canada's Top 30 Under 30. Very excited and proud to announce that yours truly was included among a list of young colleagues who are accomplishing big things in the fields of media, PR and advertising.

Never in a million years never would I have imagined that from such humble beginnings, my passion for life (and playing with my laptop and camera) would give me the opportunity to join such a talented group! The 2012 class includes advertising phenoms such as Kyle Lamb (26) who is an Art Director at advertising firm John St. - click the link on his name to read about some of the accomplishments of this super-creative guy including the hilarious story about how his mock "Catvertising" campaign went viral - including plugs from both CBS News and late night TV host Conan O'Brien.

What girl doesn't love to travel and explore the world? The excitement and anticipation behind visiting new places, learning about different cultures, and the intrigue and challenge of being outside your regular surroundings. Travel is one of the most exciting experiences in life, and without a doubt one of the most rewarding.

To learn from a regular traveler what it's like having a globe-trotting lifestyle, I sat with Katrina Lebrasse to ask about her life as an Emirates Airline cabin crew. I also asked for her tips about how a girl can stay fabulous throughout the longest of international trips! Here's what Katrina had to say:

A few months back, I shot with Norman Wong for Toronto Life Stylebook annual issue. Since the magazine is now on newsstands, I can share my personal photos from the shoot, which was brutal since it was a fall fashion shoot on a mid-summer 35+ celsius degree day - ugh!

While planning my outfit, I was thinking about "What can I wear now and would also wear in the early fall?" Yes, a flowing silk dress would have been a much more comfortable for the temperature that day, but this outfit worked as well. So it inspired me to think "can we continue to wear out favorite summer pieces in the fall?" To me, the answer is ABSOLUTELY.
