Love and Bacon: Sunday Just for Two

Hello Darlings,

Happy Sunday Everyone! I don’t know about you but Sunday is my favourite day of the week. It might be because of the Sunday brunches that I love or not having to do anything. One way or another I love Sundays!

Thanks to Starwood Hotels, I am spending my weekend at the Westin Harbour Castle on the Toronto waterfront, which means that my Sunday was a bit more special than usual. With lots of activity in the past week, it was a blessing to just unplug and re-boot together with my special someone.

As sun-rays flooded my room, it was impossible not to wake up. I stood in front of the cascade of windows tucked-in my cashmere cardi just observing the simplest beauty of nature from my thirty-first floor. With as ever coffee at hand and breakfast due in ten minutes, it was such a special moment to appreciate the sun rising over Lake Ontario.

With an early wake-up call, my day began with a hearty breakfast in bed and hours upon hours of just lounging, watching TV and laughing! Billowy down blankets, five plush pillows and a sumptuous pillow-top mattress… a combination so divine it’s no wonder that we just didn’t want to really get up. It was definitely a heavenly time in a heavenly bed

As a few hours went by and I was starting to feel like my old-self—chipper and perky— I couldn’t wait to get back to blogging! With much needed rest and time to do nothing, I couldn’t help but feel eager to get back into the hang of things.

It’s amazing what a small change can do. Just relocating into a different environment can return that much need bounce to your step. And step it is…

I am off to grab some lunch and enjoy a walk along the lake!
