Hello Darlings,

My Revolve Clothing packages arrived, which included my new Candela Oxfords!!! I fell in in love the moment I saw them, but was patient for them to go on sale from $243 to $121, which was well worth the wait.

No longer associated with salesmen and schoolgirls, flat oxfords have been updated in enough colors and finishes to please every whimsy. With charming simplicity and delicate detail, they are more beautiful than I expected. They are my new substitutes for an all time favorite ballerinas!

Candela Oxfords are delicate and feminine. The leather is so soft, plus I love that there a no laces since it makes them even more interesting. They are perfect shoes for summer, and add a unique touch to a subtle and simple wardrobe - just how I like it, simple outfit with interesting details.

Today’s outfit, consisted of my new favorites paired with all gray. I adore gray-on-gray with just a touch of color, such as this purple bag. Also, I’ve decided that rolling up jeans is a fabulous way to showcase gorgeous footwear and achieve a more casual look.

I am wearing:

French Connection Shirt

Abercrombie & Fitch Skinnies

Candela Tokyo Oxfords

Regina Italia Handmade Leather Purse

A.V. Max Cuff

Tungsten Ring courtesy Superior Wedding Rings Jewelers

On another note, I watched the Vanity Fair movie and was surprised that 300 hundred pages of Thackeray’s work was condensed into 20 minutes and the ending was completely opposite of the book. I hate when movies change the meaning of the books, especially in such a powerful and significant work as this. It is a decent film, but it does not do the book any justice. The plot was far too simplified and did not portray the true intentions of the author - who is so brilliant.

I wish you all a lovely day!!!
With Love… Marta

How do you learn all these different languages? I really want to learn french, I make it to the library and get a cd book combo and then it sits in my room haha. I was just wondering what your process was.

Anon:Hello, thank you for your comment.
Well, languages can be a pain in the behind to learn. Ukrainian is my first language, Russian I learned part from my uncle (whose Russian) and part from reading lots of literature. English was a must when I moved to Canada-so it took me about 6 month to pick it up. It is a lot easier to learn a language in that particular language speaking environment. German I took in university for a year and it was a difficult language to learn…I am not a pro at it but would get by if my life depended on it. As for French well it is a second language in Canada and part of my specialist requirement. I've started to study french this summer using " Easy French Step-by-Step" by Myrna Bell Rocherster. The book is very straightforward and easy. I find Cd's to be better for traveling(basic phrases, etc) but books are for building good base for well developed grammar. I am also taking French in university this year and next year…. then I will probably visit Quebec(a French speaking province) and practice a little bit. Also it is helpful to have friends who know the language you're studying… my best friend is fluent in french, so that is very helpful. Language takes LOTS of patience and hard work- it does not come easy, but is a very rewarding and useful.

If there's anything else you would like to ask me, do not hesitate :)

Good luck with French but be patient!!!

What a beautiful post. You look so beautiful in pearl gray and your new shoes are so very chic! I will be looking for a pair myslef (very much inspired by your look). When it comes to "Vanity Fair" movie I, too, was a bit dissapointed by the ending. The movie itself is brilliantly made: gorgeous costumes, wonderful acting, but I do wish the director would stay closer to the book.

  28. CharmaineLi says:

You know what I used to love grey color and to some extent preferred it to black. and now after seeing you wear grey with so much grace I have rediscovered my love for the color.
