Girls Night, part deux…
Bonjour Lovelies,
Last night was yet another girls night, well boys included but it was all about the ladies and birthdays
It was a beautiful night that called for my all-time-favorite party dress by Alexander Wang. The simplicity of it makes it ideal for every occasion, but the charming detailing makes it special to me - I always feel like a princess wearing it. Honestly, I don’t think that I will ever stop loving this little frock… it is so charming and yet so simple. Perfect for a night of dancing and fun!

Personally, when going to clubs/lounges I always settle for simple flirty dresses and sexy heels-it has become my uniform over years. I always like to feel like a princess rather than bearing it all. I always get bothered at how revealing ladies tend to look at such venues and it makes me wonder why bare it all? Is it really true that less is more when it comes to getting dressed for a night club??? I certainty do not believe in this, but it appears that quiet a few women do. I mean, really…is it necessary that the world sees every inch of your body.
What do you like to wear to night clubs/lounges? Do you believe that less is more for such venues?

I am wearing: Alexander Wang dress; Mackage “Leane” leather jacket;Be&D Antonia Patent Leather Heels; Luc Kieffer Barbered Wire Ring; Coach Patent Leather Wristlet.

As for the ring, here’s a close up (as requested)… it is very stunning and bold. It is a statement piece that I’ve been looking for to enhance every outfit.

Well, I’m off to do some work and then 30 laps in the swimming pool.. surprisingly, I am really in love with swimming. And not to forget the new episode of True Blood on HBO tonight, so excited !!!!!
I hope you’re all having a lovely weekend!!!
With Love…
Marta

Wooow!!! You look gorgeous!!!
Hi from Rome. I love your outfit. You are so fashionist!!!
The leather with the softness of the dress look fantastic together. I like that ring too.
I think club/lounge attire should be: flattering on the body, not too skin-revealing and attention-grabbing footwear, of course.
That dress is pure love, I can see why you would NEVER get tired of it (though in which case you do, I will gladly relieve you of it =)) And I don't understand the need to bare it all either! A little seductiveness is always better than a whole lotta skin.
nice dress and love that ring!
Less is definitely not more for me:)
Love the criss-cross strap of your dress and the ring looks really lovely!
Your ring is so pretty!
D I get really excited for that!!
I also love Alexander Wang. I don't own any of his clothes, but I love it.
Oh, I wanted to say, I love Coco Mademoiselle!!! That's my favorite perfume
hot hot.
i love how you take something a little sexier than normal + still add so much prettiness + class. which is your thing!
perfection marta.
xxxx
This dress is so special and I adore your jacket, too. Really nice look.

This is a gorgeous outfit!
I know what you mean about women deciding to bear it all! And its not just at parties and club, I have even noticed its out and about! And its getting younger and younger. Many girls my age (I am 15) wear.. interesting clothing.
xx
you look amazing
Fantastic outfit… and I'm with you on the "Keep somethings for the imagination" theory! You don't have to put it all on show to attract attention… and who wants that kind of attention anyway!
I really like the so exquisite timeless appeal of your Party Dress, AND the way the cleavage's shape sounds as a "pastel/romantic" declination of Wang's creations Sexy touch . . . especially with a "BOMBnextDoor-esque" BODY like yours !!!
à Bientôt, Antoine
You look so amazing, Marta!
I am in totally agreement about baring all — not for me — I prefer to set a balance / One time I might show some more shoulder, but less leg, and another time, more leg and much less shoulder. I believe that showy doesn't equal sexy — It's much more alluring to show less but wear something that fits your body well - like your beautiful dress!
No wonder you love it so much, it's gorgeous on you ~
Have a lovely Monday*
You are wearing those shoes again that I love! Fabulous. And I am loving that ring girl and that wristlet! You look so awesome!
xo,
Jessica
You look amazing! I'm with you on the dress and heels. It's a true staple.
WHAT A COOOOOL RING!!!!
Thanks for doing a close-up!!!
Happy sunny week ahead, Marta!!!
Liebe Grüße
Martina
I love your ring and that dress is SO gorgeous!! I always think that sophisticated sexy works best, I am not too keen on the more trashier outfits you tend to see in clubs. Hope you had a beautiful weekend dear
That dress is fantastic xoxox
That dress looks fantastic xoxoox
TrueBlood last night was amazing, just like your ring. My 'going-out' outfits depend on the weather - I love jeans with heels, a flirty top and a fitted jacket for fall/winter, but in summer I go for dresses and sandals, but nothing too revealing. I definitely subscribe to the 'less is more' mantra when it comes to showing skin.
You look great and i adore the heels. i love the way you remix the items in your closet and always come out with the most elegant outfit. Also definitely 'less is more' kinda thing doesnt work for me. You can achieve the sexy look without baring it all.
