Hello Darlings,

Sometimes a girl needs to doll-up just for herself. This happened on Saturday when I went to my first ever indie-rock concert. Grunge is the common look at a rock concert, but I decided to doll-up instead of grunge down! With a touch of pretty little bows….

Peekaboo bows....

My “rock” outfit consisted of a Nicole Miller Little Black Dress, Michael Kors booties, H&M fuzzy jacket, leopard scarf and a new pair of Trasparenze Claze Collants Capriccio Tights. Most people accessorize with jewelry, but I do it tights and scarves. This year, I collected over 50 pairs of tights! Love love love them. My favorite are by an Italian brand called Trasparenze Calze Collants, although pricey they are SO worth it! In Toronto you can get them at Legs Beautiful, or order on-line. They add a statement to every outfit: fun, flirty and with a little secret (they are prettier on the upper half). Was this a rock concert appropriate outfit: definitely not! But who cares, the most important part was that I felt fabulous!

I am wearing:
Nicole Miller Little Black Dress
H&M fuzzy jacket
Mendocino Scarf
Michael Kors Booties
Trasparenze Claze Collants Capriccio Tights
Gustto Cokera Purse

Another new discovery is Cazz shoes: a go-to pair for heel lovers! I carry them in my purse: great for after partying (wish I had them in Vegas ), in the library for switching out of heels, and for driving because I can’t drive in heels!

They fold into a tiny purse! Yes, they are that thought out!!! I carry these babies around with me in the same way I carry my make up bag. You just never know when you need to touch up and you never know when your feet are going to get tired!

I’ve also received some questions as to how I tie my leopard scarf. Here’s how!

Fold the square scarf into a triangle. Hold the two ends of the folded side and wrap around. Take one end and toss it over to the other side and do the same with the other side. The tie a knot underneath. I usually do not tie the knot only preferring a more disheveled look. If you want to learn more check out this Scarf Tying Guide!

P.S. Check out my post on Liv, it is all about knits… with runway inspiration and outfits.

Wishing everyone a lovely day!!!!

With Love…

Marta

  3. Sher says:

  4. Allie says:

Oooh! I want to buy some cazz! I usually wear a 7, do they fit true to size?

    Thanks!

  5. Marta, I love this look!

Those tights steal the show — and so so lovely on you! That company needs to
link to your blog: the perfect way to wear these tights. I just noticed that the
boot detail matches the back of the tights perfectly…of course, being that you
are such a detail person, and it looks so well put together. I must get these
tights! I have three little black skirts that would look great with them :)

p.s just started tackling the Christmas shopping — a little at a time, when I
come across the perfect items. Once I made a list of everyone and ideas, the
    shopping seems a lot simpler!

{xo} Can’t wait to see your next post*
    and pretty.

  6. I love the detail on those tights…very cute!

  8. leeselooks says:

loving the bows! i saw coco avant chanel last night, and it really inspired me to wear more boys, because i already dress too much like a man ;)

    concerts are always a blast.

oh dear- christmas shopping is something i ALWAYS leave until the last minute- but i love the rush so it works.

thanks for all your sweetness girl.

  9. Cordelia says:

I simply adore your tights!! Like you, I have quite the collection! :)

Is there anyway to get those tights if I’m in the western part of Canada? I looked up Legs Beautiful, but they don’t seem to have a site, and even if I understand some Italian… I’m dubious about ordering from them directly! lol

  10. Jo says:

Marta, what a fabulous outfit! I always love the way your accessorize with scarves or tights. Those tights are absolutely adorable. I have black flats just like those ones, not by Cazz though and they are the most comfortable thing and perfect for when your feet need a rest. I’m so glad that you’ve been able to find such a perfect fit for your H&M fuzzy jacket in your closet! <3

  11. The tights are sooooo fabulous and flirty. Love ‘em! =)

  13. fabu. they are sexy without being skanky. love them. i am having a bow moment as well. i just bought these super cheap hair accessories from goody’s at target, but i feel soooo cute when i wear them, especially if my outfit is really edgy.

I love those tights! so cute!

I love indie-rock concerts. I go to one every Friday. it’s the highlight of my week. I just love music so much, and I guess you would say that my look is “indie-grunge.” You know, Converse and such. but I am still well put together and pay attention to the little details of things (you taught me about details!) ;)

    Loved the outfit too.

  15. Michelle says:

Love the tights marta! Do you know if the site ships to Toronto? Or did you purchase them at Legs Beautiful?
And I definitely agree with you on the little surprise of the tights haha
-good luck on exams soon :)

  20. Antoine says:

Wooow I am truly astonished by the way the Black of your Dress emphasizes your bare shoulders’ porcelain Majesty (AND the caressing fall of your mane the top of your back’s unveiled Sensuality), while your thights tend to instil such a “Retro GLAMorous” vibrancy on your “contemporary Party Girl” outfit !!!!

    à Bientôt, Antoine

  21. Christina says:

Adorable tights! I would kill for a pair of those!

  22. Becca says:
