Hello Darlings,

With winter coming and temperatures dropping with every single day, I feel a bit frustrated as if I am hitting a style rut; constantly living in jeans, boots, cashmere sweaters, and leather jackets. Sure the combination changes, but the formula stays the same… and it feels dull!

I am not saying that you need a dozen unique outfits in order to feel great. Actually, I will argue that you need only a selection of key winter pieces in order to feel and look fabulous (I am working on a Vlog for this topic!). All we need for a satisfying Cold Weather Wardrobe are key pieces and just a little inspiration. I bet that every single one of us has an amazing selection of beautiful clothing hanging in the wardrobe just waiting for us to get creative with :)

I’ve gathered some of my favorite outfits and decided to dissect what is it that made me fall in love with them.. shall we :)

I adore how beautiful sportswear looks on these woman - both are wearing sport-y pants but look impecable and classic.

Great combination of comfortable and refined.

Silk blouse with sweats.

Cozy furs. Personally, I am all for faux furs but if you happen to inherit a fur jacket…then might as well love it.

Fun and cozy accessories such as toques and bulky scarfs

Beautiful chunky knits in a form of oversize sweaters worn as coats of dresses.

Interesting skirts with opaque black tights. Pattern or texture is perfect to add interest to an otherwise boring look.

Long sleeve cocktail dress is perfect for colder weather.

With a little inspiration… I will be back soon with an outfit post!

What is your favorite go-to cold weather item????

Wishing Everyone a Beautiful Day!!!

With Love..

Marta

I really needed this post. Every season I feel like I have to buy more, but all I need is an inspiration to create different outfit. I love the picture examples you put up :D

  5. Ahh I wish it were a bit cooler in LA. It’s been in the high 90s (over 100 in the suburbs!) this week. I wish it were a bit more fall like…

  6. LOVE all of this inspiration! Truly. I gravitate to tights, knee high boots, and dresses with blazers, or a cape. Boots are key. I love wearing high heeled ones, but only sometimes… I generally wear my flat boots during the week, especially for errands. Love them.

Hope you’re having a wonderful weekend, lovely Marta,
    xoxo

Marta, I love this post and so needed it… I totally feel in a rut these days too and like I have no space to be creative because I just have to dress for the weather! What a great reminder that it is still possible to stay chic and warm all at once :)

  9. I own that Zara cape that Garance is wearing in the first photo! Thanks for reminding me to pull it out of the closet and take it out for a spin.

Great inspiration photos! Love Melanie Hyunh and Caroline Sieber. And, of course, ADR!
