Good Evening Darlings,
Well, I just literally ran in from out of rain after a day of shopping with my lovely mama. It is coming down very hard outside and since I got drenches running to the car, I figures why not take the pictures and share with you one of my favorite outfits…as it does combine all of my key pieces: leather jacket, scarf, simple top, boots and of course well-tailored pants/jeans.
While shopping today I had the most unpleasant encounter. I was shopping in Mendocino and found the scarf that I am wearing in these photos and totally fell in love with it.As I was cashing out,I noticed a defect (a snatched cotton thread, that left a visible mark) and asked for another one. The manager of the store gave me the “you’re such a pain in my behind look” and left to look for a replacement. After he brought me the scarf, I decided to inspect it…because when I am paying over $50 for a simple cotton scarf I better know that it is perfect! Meanwhile, he decides to answer the phone and arrogantly talk on it.I finish paying for the scarf and he literary tossed me the bag * hank goodness I caught it* and there was no thank you or anything, he just bluntly turned away with his back to me and continued his conversation on the phone. My mom was it shock, especially considering that we are regular customers…I am sorry, I did not realize that wanting perfection when buying an item is too much to ask for or is considered to be annoying. If I didn’t love the scarf, I would have returned it. I feel like it is always my luck to get crappy service…
Lesson Learned: Ladies and Gentleman, Never give up on your expectations of quality just because someone thinks that you’re being annoying and picky. You have every right to have what you want!
Despite an uncomfortable situation, my day continued and still does on a positive note. Never let anyone’s poor manners bring you down :) Anyways….moving on to more important things. :P

By the way, I’ve been dying to share with you my new Rad Hourani pants from his Spring 09 collection and I am totally obsessed, they look amazing with everything and the satin inserts give that perfect touch of interest. I also picked up few cute pieces, including an amazing velvet dress that I am wearing out tonight to a friends B-day party. I am very excited as I have never worn velvet, but have always loved it…as it has the most perfect texture for fall, and of course velvet adds drama to the most simple things :) I can’t wait to show it to you!

(I am wearing: Rad Hourani Pants; Wilfred Top; Mendocino Scarf; Mackage Leather Jacket; Michael Kors Boots; Accessories&Beyond Bracellets; Gustto Cokera Purse, and a random umbrella)
Well, I am off to get dolled up…and battle the frizz monster (aka wavy hair going crazy frizzy in the rain).
I wish you all a beautiful Friday night!!!
With Love…
Marta

I am always very picky like you when it comes to shopping. If I am spending my hard earned money on something very expensive I want get a quality item and not a defective item.
