Hello Darlings,

At the moment I am sitting at a huge wooden desk, on the 10th floor of the library, overlooking the beautiful city and instead of studying for my exam… I am dwelling over a million things. As the seasons change and time passes by, it is amazing how much can happen over a short period of time.Although not everyday was a pleasant one, I cannot help but feel thankful for everyday and everyone. As this weekend is Thanksgiving in Canada, I am thankful to have the time to enjoy the last days of summer-like weather and just spend them with those that I love the most.

Although I am going to get into the wardrobe part of the post… I would like to reflect upon one thing beforehand :)

As some of you may know, for me this year has been full of sad, tragic, hurtful, heartbreaking, happy and it one word unexpected events. As things began to slow down and slowly bounce back to order, I cannot help but feel blessed and thankful. Although there were very difficult times when things were so out off course that I felt hopeless, I cannot help but believe that everything does happen for a reason. As I am sitting here, I finally feel content and happy with no doubts about what future holds for me. Plans fall apart, accidents happen, people break-up, people die, illness comes around…but at the end of the day life is life and feeling down is just silly. Smile and go on! Take it from me, after every storm there is always a sunny day or two :) So think ahead and be thankful for what you have right now. I am thankful for my family and friends, and I am also very thankful for you guys…for offering me kind words as well as fun and insightful feedback! Please, just take a moment to realize how blessed you really are! Everyone need a reminder of this, and this is my reminder to you :) Don’t forget to be grateful for what you already have! As for things that you want, they will come when the time is right and you least expect it!

And now on to wardrobe part of the program :P

Firstly, I would like to mention this A-M-A-Z-I-N-G Ugg boots by Whooga giveaway. The company picks a winner at the end of each month and it’s open to everyone in all countries. All that you have to do it sign up for their newsletter or follow them on twitter. Or sign up for both, to double your chances. As for today’s outfit which I am actually wearing right now as I write this :)

I am wearing:
Wilfred Little Moon Jacket—from Aritzia, Sherway
Club Monaco Cotton/Silk Blouse—from Club Monaco, Sherway
Alexander Wang for Gap Trouser—from Gap, Sherway
A.V.Max Studded Cuff—from bluefly.com
Ray Ban Wayfarer II—from smartbuyglasses.ca
Juicy Couture “Rose” in natural snake flats—from Neiman Marcus

I am very thankful that I picked up this jacket from Aritzia’s Little Moon line a while back as it is ideal for this kind of weather. I adore the silk floral lining, the beautiful quilting and the whimsical print…It’s perfect. Something about it…just made me go ga-ga over it. Maybe it was the juvenile/quirky appearance?or I just don’t know. Another new addition is this linen and silk blouse from Club Monaco, it just works with everything and I could not help myself as the ruffle was just too good to pass by :) So, as I result I am super happy with my latest purchases, which also include pair of new jeans, a silk blouse, a cocktail dress, and new hosiery. My fall to-buy list is getting shorter and I am supper happy about it!

Now I want to know what you think:

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

Well, it is time for me to go back to the books and try to be somewhat productive…. I will be back with a new post in a day or two :)

HAPPY LONG WEEKEND!!!!

With Love…

Marta

I love your jacket. So gorgeous. The whole outfit looks perfect for sitting in a library and studying, running around campus coffee in hand.

    Gorgeous.

I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend and enjoy the wonderful weather.

  3. Happy Thanksgiving, Marta!

You amaze me. I know that you have been going through a great deal this year, but you are still smiling, and are very wise, understanding that this too shall pass… it’s so easy to get caught up in the negative that is happening around oneself, that we forget to be happy and thankful for that which brings up happiness and that which we enjoy each and every day. Thank you for the reminder.

As for the outfit — love! I recently bought a fabulous pair of Michael Kors black pants (which actually made me think of you!) and instead of hemming, I ended up folding them, just as you have done. Such a nice fit. I love your blouse and jacket, too. I think these pieces will be great transitional pieces — I can see so many great looks ahead with the blouse alone. I might have to go look at it — you always inspire me. Thank YOU :)

    xoxo,
    Sarah

I know my motto always is “and this too shall pass” nothing stays around long enough to either get down on it or take it for granted. Have a great Thanksgiving.

  12. dude, i have missed your blog!!! this summer was a mess. but you are so right. it’s not worth your time to be depressed or sad. i’m a military wife and i constantly struggle with feeling like enough and finding my place in the world when the government is telling me where to live next and for how long… it gets overwhelming not getting to make those decisions for yourself, but i’ve just learned to be happy with today. right now. hell, it’s all we’ve got.

and your outfit is flippin’ adorable!!!! love the lining of the jacket. brilliant.
