Hello Darlings,
Last night I had a chance to check out |FAT| Arts & Fashion Week for the first time. FAT is an annual multi-arts event in Toronto featuring 200 national and international fashion designers, visual artists, bands and performers. It is unlike any fashion event, done in the spirit of gallery or exhibit opening, this avant-garde spectacle is a week long celebration of creativity!
I was there to support Toronto's up-and-coming fashion darling, Rachel Sin and her Fall/Winter 2012 fashion line. As a trained architect, Sin's designs are strong yet feminine. Her work celebrates an independent, want-to-do-it-all woman whose wardrobe is an extension of her confidence, originality and personal style. From tailored office attire to charming dresses, Rachel Sin is a go-to label for a modern, working girl.
Hello Darlings,
I always admire those mothers, who seem to have it all figured out. A career, a supportive husband, incredible physique with a pair of well-behaved children. Among those mothers is mine!
She not only defended her Ph.D while in her last trimester with me, she was a professor in Ukraine, she established a wonderful career in Canada, is happily married to my father for the past 25 years, a wicked cook, the best mother, and doesn't look a day over 40 — she is a wonder woman, in my mind!

Although children of my own are far from my mind at this stage in life, they are definitely part of my future. Whenever a topic of family arises, I always wonder how can one woman have so many façades. In the modern day, she is not only expected to be a caring mother, a loving wife, a chef, a house-wife but also a business woman and a complete knock-out. No pressure at all! So can any girl become a "Victoria Beckham" minus the scary heels?
Hello Darlings,
Do you know those days when you just don’t feel like spending that hour getting ready? When styling your hair seems like a chore, or when matching heels to an outfit is a dreaded task. Yes, one of those days! When you just want to get up and go without preening or primping; a day when men seems to have all the luck with their ten minute get-ready routine.

Naturally, no girl wants to sacrifice the cuteness factor due to sheer lack of enthusiasm for the hair dryer and mascara. This is when those nifty shortcuts that we learn through experience and harsh reality of womanhood come in handy. Of course, every girl has her own secrets, the kind of knowledge that needs to be shared so as many of us can benefit :)
Hello Darlings,
This week has been filled with exciting and disappointing fashion reports. But that's the thing about fashion, you never know what to expect.

For the past seven months, the fashion insiders have been speculating as to who will fill Galliano's spot at Dior. As most of you have heard, the house of Christian Dior fired John Galliano in March 2011 after his anti-Semitic remarks were caught on camera and went viral. Ever since, it has been a guessing game with Marc Jacobs being the favourite of gossipers. On Monday, Christian Dior made an unexpected announcement stating that their new artistic director is Belgian designer, Raf Simmons.
