Hello Darlings,
For the second day of Toronto Fashion Week, I was invited to attend Chloe Comme Parris and Pink Tartan. Unfortunately, I missed the Chloe Comme Parris show but did make it just in time for Pink Tartan.
Pink Tartan is designed by the talented Kimberley Newport-Mimran, the wife of Joe Mimran, who used to design for Club Monaco and is now responsible for the hugely successful Joe Fresh line.
Of all of the shows, Pink Tartan is the one to which I can most directly relate in terms of style. Their pieces are sophisticated, feminine and fun, and Kimberly surpassed expectations with her stunning blouse and tutu-skirt combinations. The show was well done and the collection was exceptional; I will definitely be stopping by the Pink Tartan store to check it out.
Following a grueling week of fashion shows, I was truly looking forward to this weekend to just breeze!
First, thanks to all of the designers and PR companies for allowing me to take part in an event that celebrates the beauty of our home-grown talent. It was a pleasure to go behind the scenes backstage and to attend many of the shows. Also I would like to send out and even more special of a thank you to my best friend Anna and my bf E, they were there every step of the way!
Hello Darlings,
It was Sunday afternoon and I was getting ready for the F/W 2011 Preview of Denis Gagnon and Dandi Maestre Jewelry. [caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="600" caption="Marta Tryshak with Denis Gagnon"][/caption]As I was standing in front of a mirror completely overwhelmed, and annoyed at my inability to wear patterns, I came to realize that it doesn’t have to be perfect it just needs to work. To me, mixing patterns is as foreign as rocket science; yet, there I was, trying to make sense of it all. Loving this seasons’ trend of mixing bizarre patterns, I was determined to venture outside my comfort zone and do it.
Hello Darlings,
This is my first video for the website, which was made during Rac Boutique presentation of Mulcair. Thanks Anthea of Clothes Line Finds for the video :)
As you can tell, I was very nervous. I am not exactly comfortable in front of the camera but as they say practice makes perfect...
