Amber Lounge is famous as the late night hot spot for Hollywood celebrities visiting Toronto, especially during TIFF. Finally spring has sprung, and Amber Lounge has one of the best patios in the city, which will be the perfect setting for sampling yummy wine! Jennifer Smith-Vaillancourt who is a Brand Ambassador for Red Rock Winery will be in attendance, sharing her insights and answering questions about Red Rock Malbec and California wines.

One of the perks with attending events is sampling wines from all over the world to figure out what appeals most to my personal taste. My preference is specific - as my favorite wines are from the California central coast - in particular Monterey County located 100 miles south of San Francisco. I am no expert, but it seems to me that the rich dark soil in California’s central coast region creates wines that are very smooth with fruity taste, and very little acidity. So when out on a dinner date or hosting at home, you can buy a bottle of central coast wine and feel assured you will most likely be happy with your selection.

Made with grapes sourced from premier vineyards in California regions including Lodi, Sonoma and Monterey - Red Rock Malbec is a well-balanced, fruit-forward wine that can be enjoyed on its own or paired with grilled meats, perfect for BBQ season. The newly released 2011 vintage premium malbec is available in the California section at the LCBO. From April 27 to May 25, Red Rock Malbec will be available for a special promotion price of $14.95 (reg. $16.95) at LCBO locations across Ontario.
