Hello Darlings, Since 1976, Toronto has played a host to an annual Toronto International Film Festival. Over the years TIFF has become the city’s most anticipated event. Every year, the festival shows 370 films from 72 countries and welcomes over 400,000 movie enthusiasts. Traditionally TIFF begins on the Thursday evening following Labour Day and goes on for 11 days.

Hello Darlings, With this being the last week of August, my mind is easing into the shopping mode! With the turn of every season comes the great task of updating our seasonal wardrobe. Since Canadian winters tend to sneak up on us in November, this is precisely the reason why shopping needs to be done early. Trust me, no girl wants to be stuck in freezing weather feeling frumpy.

I am sure that many of you are thinking as why I am even bringing up this dreadful topic! It is precisely for the reason I mentioned above. As distant as it might seem, cold weather is unfortunately just weeks away. Due to that fact alone, it is important to start organizing your cold weather wardrobe in August rather than October. By October you will need luck on your side in a mission of finding a chic parka that will keep you warm and looking fabulous. Lots of luck!

Hello Darlings, A quote cannot be anymore true that the one said by an architecture critic Paul Goldberger, “New York remains what it has always been: a city of ebb and flow, a city of constant shifts of population and economics, a city of virtually no rest. It is harsh, dirty, and dangerous, it is whimsical and fanciful, it is beautiful and soaring – it is not one or another of these things but all of them, all at once, and to fail to accept this paradox is to deny the reality of city existence.”

One cannot describe the city as complex in structure as it is in its society as well as Goldberger did . New York city is a love and hate affair for many people! With every return to the city you’re caught off guard by the pleasant and not so pleasant surprises. You love it for its careless character and constant motion and yet hate it for its rough and blunt expressions of people and surroundings. It is a city of contradictions that regardless of what you feel towards, you come to admire over the course of time!
