This summer I made a list of things that I want to do so I don’t end up wondering where the summer went when September comes. Some of the highlights are a visit to the Toronto Islands, Jumping off of a cliff, going to a drive in movie and watching Shakespeare in High Park.

Yes, jumping, and cliff is kind of a subjective term here. At the Elora Quarry, a popular swimming hole where there are rocks that you can jump off of into the water. They range in height from about 2-3 metres to 10+! I will only go up to 3m which is just like jumping off of a middle height diving board into a pool, so not too bad.
sounds like fun from that height. water should be warm too if we keep having such hot weather!
I’m spending most of the summer taking summer school back in Ottawa and preparing to take an admissions test, but for the last few weeks in August, the family and I are going to the West Coast! Never been to that side of Canada so it should be exciting

Two weeks ago I moved to Toronto, ON from my hometown of Halifax, NS. I am a recent graphic design graduate and I will be interning all summer with Roots Canada’s art department! With the change from student life to a fast paced and creatively challenging workplace, along with the humidity and heat of a downtown Toronto summer, my skin can use all the help it can get!
Congratulations on your new job Morgan. Roots sounds like it would be a fun place to be creative.

My summer plan is to take advantage of the lovely weather as much as humanly possible. Even if I have to work, I will eat my lunch outside. Using the outdoors instead of the gym for exercising will also make something tedious a bit more enjoyable. And most of all, patios!

Unfortunately I will be working A LOT this summer so on the few days off that I have, I’m hitting up concerts (What’s better than live music outdoors on a (hopefully) sunny day?) and definitely make it to the beach since I didn’t get to (not even once!) last year. In the evenings I’ll be bike riding along the river by my house. Summer can’t come soon enough!!

I’m planning on taking more mini vacations this summer. I want to use the weekends to play home town tourist, and take day trips to nearby attractions.

My summer plans? Going to Victoria, having tea at one of the landmark hotels and maybe taking a buggy ride.
This summer I will be staying home, in Montreal ! When you live in the city, it’s easy to ignore the cultural experience it has to offer. I have made it a point to explore my city, which is always fun. But who knows…If I get the urge, I may just book a trip down south. After all, summer is all about spontaneity.

I always enjoy going to Moda A Vie in the Old Port. They have live Jazz on Saturday evenings and the food is absolutely delicious.
Since I have read your posts about being a chocolate addict you should definately try Juliette et Chocolat. Their chocolate lava cake is to die for!
I always go to the one on Laurier Street off of Parc Avenue because I enjoy shopping at the little boutiques in the area, but there is also one on Saint- Laurent street downtown.
If you are looking to go for drinks, try KOKO lounge or the Loft hotel, but my all time favorite is the W hotel.
Thanks Eleni for the suggestion. My bf said Laurier is a cute street for shopping too - so I am definitely going to try that. I’ve been to KOKO before, and actually have a contest coming up this week for 2 passes to a party there on the Saturday night of Grand Prix weekend
