Toronto Fashion Week Day 2: Pink Tartan

Hello Darlings,

For the second day of Toronto Fashion Week, I was invited to attend Chloe Comme Parris and Pink Tartan. Unfortunately, I missed the Chloe Comme Parris show but did make it just in time for Pink Tartan.

Pink Tartan is designed by the talented Kimberley Newport-Mimran, the wife of Joe Mimran, who used to design for Club Monaco and is now responsible for the hugely successful Joe Fresh line.

Of all of the shows, Pink Tartan is the one to which I can most directly relate in terms of style. Their pieces are sophisticated, feminine and fun, and Kimberly surpassed expectations with her stunning blouse and tutu-skirt combinations. The show was well done and the collection was exceptional; I will definitely be stopping by the Pink Tartan store to check it out.

Throughout Fashion Week, I was very conscious to wear appropriate outfits. As Pink Tartan was an evening show followed by a dinner, I wore a classic, romantic dress from the Little Moon by Wilfred limited collection for Aritzia. I adore this demure dress: from the trimming to the delicate slip underneath and to the open back. I purchased this dress last summer and have finally given it the chance to be featured on the blog.

I am wearing:
Little Moon by Wilfred Chiffon Dress
Michael Kors Watch
La Baccarina Leather and Suede Boots
Z Spoke by Zac Posen Leather Tote

Fashion Week is intimidating, but it can also be quite lonely due to the large breaks between the shows (one hour), so E kindly accompanied me the first two days, and then my bestie Anna joined me for the rest of the days. Tip: If going to fashion week always bring a +1.

Following the stressful, yet enjoyable first two days, I indulged in a facial. With so much hassle and stress, my skin was beginning to look dull. I am a firm believer in spring skin cleaning :P Speaking of spring skin cleaning, Spa Week is coming up from April 11-17 and it would be a shame to miss the spa services for just $50. Nearly a thousand spas are participating, each offering 2-3 of their most coveted spa services for just $50.  Escape for an hour, or make a week of it and try as many different treatments and spas as possible! Browse the $50 Spa Week Directory at www.spaweek.com

More fashion week goodies are coming up along with some videos :)

Wishing Everyone a Beautiful Day!!!

With Love...
