Know the size and dress for the type…

Hello Darlings,

As I've previously mentioned, I just picked a copy of  Tim Gunn:A Guide to Quality, Taste and Style and found it to be quite informative. Therefore, I would like to share with you some excerpts from a section on size and body type that are quite interesting.

I've always been a firm believer in dressing to flatter your figure rather than following fashion trends and this book does a good job breaking down the elements of individual style. I think that being comfortable with oneself and making the best of what is that you were worn with is key when it comes to  feeling fabulous :)

So without further ado...

Modern Dilemma of Flares…

Hello Darlings,

Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend :) As for me, I just got in from a day of successful shopping and could not be anymore excited! Besides a fact that I rediscovered my love for Burberry flairs, but also  managed to score two pieces from Wilfred's Little Moon line on a wicked sale. It's amazing how little I need to feel a huge amount of happiness :P Just kidding, but it is true that the smallest things in life can make me ridiculously happy. Such as hearing the perfect song on the radio, coming across the cutest cafe, waking up an hour too late, managing to meditate for 30 minutes with no distractions, and of course to spend an extra  minute or two with family and friends.

With Chloé….

Hello Darlings,

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend!!! It is absolutely stunning in Toronto, the weather is perfection :) I am taking  as much time as I can to get away to the park with Johnny (my Cocker Spaniel) for couple of hours to read the latest book— Eat, Pray, Love.

For the past couple of weeks, I've been reading non-stop and now onto my third book of the summer.I've always been an avid reader and tend to read whenever I have a free minute. Any suggesting as to what my next book should be!!! :) I just  finished reading Karen Essex's Stealing Athena must say that if you're into art history or architecture this is a must read. I will do a separate post on my latest reading adventures as I have picked up some awesome fashion reads as well!

My favorite passage of the week from Eat, Pray, Love: " To find balance you.... must keep your feet grounded so firmly on the earth that it's like you have four legs, instead of two. That way, you can stay in the world. But you must stop looking at the world through your head. You must look through your heart, instead."

Spoiled Rotten…

Hello Darlings,

Happy Friday!!! I hope that everyone is enjoying the beautiful summer weather and taking the time to relax.

I definitely have been taking the time to myself and just focusing on getting back into the swing of things after such a difficult time. I have come to realize that there is nothing wrong with simply slowing down. I must admit that it is pretty awesome, to just kick back and not feel guilty about it. It's a fascinating feeling and one that I am not quite used to :)

When in doubt and feeling down…

Hello Darlings,

When in doubt and feeling down.... just go shopping! This has been my motto for the past couple of days. During the time when I am feeling down, I always find joy in a shopping mall. Retail Therapy WORKS!

I don't care what people say, but the best way to get away from things is by either literary getting away (travel) or by escaping to the mall. There are times when a girl just needs to indulge and treat herself to a new purchase. But since,I've been stressing like crazy... I ended up with a hefty bag of goodies from Aritzia and a new pair of Ray Ban Wayfarer's.

As a young professional…

Hello Darlings,

First of all, I would like to thank everyone for their continued support. I know that I've been inconsistent with my posting and that's quite annoying. However, I must admit that I've been struggling with a writers block (so any suggestions would be much appreciated) as well as I am trying to finish my essay and study for the final which are coming up this week. My sincerest apologies! But for now onto a post that I had a lot of fun writing up....

Being young is a journey itself! However being young, out of school and ready to look for a job is a journey and a half. My point is, being young is full of thrilling adventures and among them is one called becoming a young professional.

Since, I’ve received a number of fantastic e-mails in regards to this topic; I decided to create a post! I am in the same boat, so it took me some time to research the topic and conclude that BORING is NOT  the  solution!
